One Thought Per Team

Minneapolis Roosevelt. The Teddies have their best player back, and a couple other rotational guys including a starter that was a key scorer from a 16 win team, and they look to have some good up and coming sophomores as well. The Teddies should be in the mix if the right chemistry is found.

Minneapolis South. South seems to have more back than anybody but SSP after winning eleven games last year. [player_tooltip player_id='2435232' first='Jumair' last='Wright'] will be in the mix for section MVP with a chance to lead this team to a state spot. South has really bounced back well after losing a ton of players to transfer not too long ago and they are in the mix for this race.

St. Paul Como Park. Jake Sullivan has taken over this program and they competed strong this summer in several various events. [player_tooltip player_id='1874815' first='Contrell' last='Jenkins'] has a chance to be one of the better players in this group. There are three all league guys to replace but there is also energy at the program right now.

St. Paul Highland Park. The Scots have two of their top four guys back from a 12 win team. [player_tooltip player_id='2874892' first='Izaiah' last='Davis'] looks ready to have a break out season and this is a program that looks to be headed in the right direction.

St. Thomas Academy. STA is our pick because they have the best player and a few rotational guys back but let's be honest, this is the most unconfident I am in any of the 32 sections with my top pick. Lars is the best player in the section but he only has a few returning players from last year's rotation with him. Everything is going to be about chemistry when it comes to who wins this league.

Simley. A lot of pieces seem to be in place for a step forward. [player_tooltip player_id='2440424' first='Andre' last='Glass'], Streiff and Lovelace are all double figure returning players who are all now upperclassmen and Willie Braziel is such a good veteran coach. I expect them to take a jump forward and maybe even make a state run. Why not? It's going to take experience and chemistry to get to state and the section is wide open.

South St Paul. We have said this so many times before but South St. Paul has the talent but they just have not been able to put things together as a team to have the season they are hoping for. When it comes to depth of talent the Packers might rank with the best in the section and if they can find the right chemistry, this could be their state year.

The section is wide open and every team has a player they can lean on as a main guy. So who goes to state? The team that has the right chemistry along with that main guy leading the way. It's wide open in 3AAA.
