The Jacks made the big run to the state tournament and now they have to try and repeat. Can it happen?

Super Summary

Dawson-Boyd lost their size of Boike and Hjelmeland to SMSU but they return three starters so they will be a top ten team in state once again. [player_tooltip player_id='2823917' first='Gunner' last='Liebl'] will be one of the best players in Class A basketball plus [player_tooltip player_id='2841204' first='Jaxton' last='Hastad'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2132770' first='Carson' last='Stratmoen'] also return from the starting line-up. The Jacks won't be one of the biggest teams in the state again but they won't be out there with a bunch of six foot and under players either: Hastad is 6'4, Liebl is a strong 6'2, and up and coming forwards Colton Bothun and Mason Bothun are in that 200 pound area at 6'2/6'3 so the toughness and strength should be there.

But there are some heavy contenders in Class 3AA. Hills-Beaver Creek was 26-3 last year and they have their best players back in [player_tooltip player_id='2398619' first='Micah' last='Bush'], [player_tooltip player_id='2400265' first='Jamin' last='Metzger'], and Brode Metzger. This is a strong, athletic and talented team that will also be a top five team in the state coming in and likely will be the section favorite because what they have coming back. Of course there is a football season to consider for this crew before we talk basketball.

Central Minnesota Christian is also in that area of a title contender and a top ten team. After a 23-6 season they return top players including [player_tooltip player_id='2120512' first='Micah' last='Asake'], Logan Roelofs, and standout junior Asher Wieberdiink. That means three of their four all league honored players have graduated. Then you have RTR, Westbrook-Walnut Grove and Renville County West who are all going to be in the mix as well. Kade Moffitt at Edgerton is a top guy to consider as a factor in things as well.
