It makes sense to start off with the Prep Hoops #1 ranked player in the class of 2026. Torbert convinced me while leading his East Lansing team to a state title last year. He's just electric on the offensive end. When Torbert's team needs a bucket, he can and will go get one. He plays a fast paced game and is a menace in the open floor.

Mercer is one of the most dangerous guards with the ball in the state of Michigan. He can flat out manipulate defenders and create off the bounce. Mercer can put up a 20 spot before a defender know what hit them. If you like guards that can put it on the floor, touch paint, and make plays - this is your guy.

Goines has put himself square on the map over the last couple of years. He deserves offers ASAP. It's truly scary to think about how much he's improved his game. In a short time, he transformed his game and became an elite perimeter help defender. This summer Goines became a lot more athletic player that can get up the floor and get off the ground.

Lamb and the Brother Rice coaching staff know exactly how good of a player I think he is. Lamb is a true 2 way guard that makes it tough to take him off the floor. He'll consistently pick up big stops on the defensive end. Offensively, Lamb can shoot and score, but is also incredibly efficient and a willing passer.

Esse is going to scare a lot of opponents this coming high school season. He was a key piece in a Breslin Center run and he's coming back even better. Esse can handle the ball and distribute like a true point guard, but he can also create, shoot and score. Buckle up, because a big season is coming.
