Preseason Player of the Year: 2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765506' first='Brady' last='Boulton'] (Montezuma)

One of the most explosive scorers in the state, Boulton is a nightly threat to drop 50 points on an opponent. The Braves and Lynnville-Sully will battle it out at the top of the division this winter, and Boulton is the best individual player in the division.

First Team

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1765506' first='Brady' last='Boulton'] (Montezuma): 28.2 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 4.4 steals, 51.1 FG%, 42.9 3P%, 91.2 FT%

A big-time scorer who can light it up from anywhere on the floor, Boulton is dangerous as both a scorer and playmaker, leading the team in scoring and assists. He's a highly efficient guard who dominates games on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis.

2026 [player_tooltip player_id='2886854' first='Dawson' last='James'] (Lynnville-Sully): 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 53.9 FG%

An efficient forward who can control the glass and score around the bucket, James can do a little bit of everything for the Hawks on both ends of the floor and will be the focal point of an L-S team that will battle it out with Montezuma at the top of the division.

2026 Beau Burns (BGM): 11.5 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.8 steals

Burns is a standout on the gridiron, putting up some ridiculous numbers for the Bears football team, and he'll be looking to carry that success over to the hardwood, where he's the team's leading returning scorer. Injuries cut his basketball season short last season.

2026 Sawyer Veldhuizen (Lynnville-Sully): 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 44.0 3P%, 85.7 FT%

A 6-2 wing with good size and athleticism, Veldhuizen is a fantastic shooter who buried 44% of his 3-point attempts last season, knocking down a team-high 70 3-pointers.

2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2419827' first='Will' last='Van Vark'] (Lynnville-Sully): 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals

Van Vark is another quality shooting threat for the Hawks, shooting 35.1% from the 3-point line as a sophomore. Having gained a lot of valuable experience last season, he'll step into a bigger scoring and playmaking role as a junior.
