The Prep Hoops Iowa Expo was packed with talent, and every team showed intriguing flashes of talent. However, Team 4 was one of the most impressive squads I saw hoop in Des Moines, Iowa, this past weekend. Let's get right into the most standout prospects from this exceptional group of young hoopers.

[player_tooltip player_id='2118611' first='Jerimiah' last='Washpun'] was unstoppable for the entirety of Saturday's games. Jerimiah is the definition of a three-level scorer. He was pulling from deep range and cashing in at a high clip. He was such a threat from outside that he was drawing fouls on his three-point attempts. This opened up his driving game, where he finished many tough layups. He is an elite vertical athlete, which made slowing him down around the rim extremely difficult. His ability to get a bucket anywhere on the court allowed him to capitalize with his great passing vision. In the pick and roll, he was dicing defenses up and making quick but savvy reads. His passing around the interior very much stood out; he was able to draw extra defenders and wrap dimes around their frames on many occasions. Defense was another bright spot for him on Saturday. He hounded opposing ball handlers and got in passing lanes for many takeaways. In every contest I watched, Jerimiah Waspun dominated.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125122' first='Derrick' last='Akines'] did it all at the Prep Hoops Iowa Expo. For starters, he was insanely efficient on a flurry of step-back threes. His touch from outside can only be described as delicate. This allowed him to be a walking paint touch with how defenders would fly out at him. He was elite at exploding out of spin moves into tough layups and floaters, and his mid-range scoring stood out as well. His lob passing and finesse with the ball in his hands made him a great primary initiator in the games that I watched. Deceleration was another key aspect of his game. He could stop and start on a dime, which made him very difficult for defenders to stay in front of. And on the defensive end, he got a haul of steals throughout the expo, attacking ball handlers and forcing turnovers with his quick hands. [player_tooltip player_id='2125122' first='Derrick' last='Akines'] was always making an impact, no matter where he was on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396064' first='William' last='Rahe'] was a force all over the floor at the Prep Hoops Iowa Expo. Let's start on the defensive end. He was one of the most impressive defenders I saw play this past Saturday. His IQ on defense stood out. He got in passing lanes, poked out dirbbles from behind many times, and predicted opponents' shots and swatted them like flies. He was great on the perimeter, not allowing penetration and chasing down drivers and sending their layups out of bounds. He was no slouch on the offensive end either. He was elite scoring around the rim off of cuts, and off the catch threes were automatic for him throughout the expo. [player_tooltip player_id='2396064' first='William' last='Rahe'] is a two-way player, and he displayed that in spades at this event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2523920' first='Quinton' last='Garner'] was one of the best young guards I saw play at this event. His ball handling was noticeably smooth, and he was great at handling the rock. He was elite at getting to the rim and remaining patient with nice pump fakes, opening up windows for his layups. And when defenders would try to help on his drives, he would make them pay with timely dimes to his teammates for open looks. Off the catch, his three-point shooting was another weapon in his repertoire. If given any room, he would make it rain from outside. His mid-range shooting was special as well. The pressure his quickness puts on the rim opened up intermediate looks for him throughout the games he played in, and he would always display his soft touch in these situations. The other side of the floor was impressive as well. Quinton is an extremely fiesty defender who picks up full court and slides his feet, preventing penetration at all times. [player_tooltip player_id='2523920' first='Quinton' last='Garner'] is special already at his young age, and it's only up from here.

[player_tooltip player_id='2523919' first='Quinn' last='Roorda'] plays with toughness and physicality. He goes up strong around the rim, and bumps don't bother his touch. He finishes at a high clip around the rim and draws fouls because of it. His driving was also very impressive. His flexibility was elite, and he got very low on his drives for someone of his stature. He showcased a soft floater that added to his elite interior scoring. Quinn finished at high speeds and capitalized on many off-ball cuts. Keeping him away from the rim was virtually impossible. Quinn was one of the best rebounders I saw play at this event. He used his size and strength to come down with many boards. This allowed him to get even more shots up on the rim. [player_tooltip player_id='2523919' first='Quinn' last='Roorda'] played a grown man's game and never shies away from contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='2947116' first='Agni' last='Banguid'] showcased his versatility at the Prep Hoops Iowa Expo. Agni was elite on the defensive end. He is very fluid on the perimeter and showcased high IQ around the rim. Never jumping at pump fakes, staying straight up, and sending back any shot possible. Agni was great as a help defender, he attacked ball handlers in the gaps, helped around the rim, and was always communicating. Agni plays with hustle and comes down with rebounds. He offers great skills offensively. His jumper was very fluid and fast, even when he was off balance. He scored around the rim as well and showed high feel as a passer. He made quick reads and always kept the ball moving in the flow of the offense. His soft touch shows on his mid-range pull-up. He was elite at getting to his spots off the dribble and was automatic when he created space. His touch with the left hand was also very impressive. And overall, he played with great hustle and energy, coming down with many rebounds and locking up opponents. Spraying from downtown when given space. And while fading away in either direction in the mid-range, he could hit tough floaters with his soft touch.
