It is time for our annual Top 50 Prospects Regardless of Class series. We have been doing this since the early years of PHI and it allows us to combine the sophomore, junior, and senior rankings to get an overall view of the talent in the state. Remember these are PROSPECT RANKINGS not necessarily what they will do this high school season. It is a long-term look! Here are prospects #6-#10!

#6 [player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley'] (Peoria Richwoods – 2028)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

Smith-Holley burst on the radar over a year ago, but took his game to another level over the summer as one of the best scorers on the 15U level of the Nike EYBL. He is a super athletic lead guard that has such an impressive burst getting to the rim for acrobatic finishes and is now throwing down sick dunks. Plus shooter from mid-range and three that makes it look effortless getting in and out of his dribble pulling up. Pushes the pace in the open floor with his speed. Turns defense into offense in a split second.

#7 [player_tooltip player_id='2125627' first='Ethan' last='Vahl'] (Oswego – 2028)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

Vahl is a smooth shooting guard that can also play some on the ball. One of the premier sophomores in the state because of his feel for the game and innate feel for scoring in a variety of ways with ease. Creative scorer with such a feathery shot from two and three. Slick ball handler that gets in the lane for slick layups. The passing has really grown over the last few months as well.

#8 [player_tooltip player_id='1873523' first='Jamison' last='White'] (East St. Louis – 2026)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

White is a big and strong small forward that moved into Illinois after playing in St. Louis for his first three years. The Penn State commit is a physically intimidating presence with how hard he plays. What we really like is how he adapts to whatever his role is. With his high school team he pours it in scoring and is a monster on the glass. On Brad Beal Elite he played his role as a three and D wing that crashed the boards.

#9 [player_tooltip player_id='2194655' first='Braydon' last='Porter'] (Yorkville – 2028)

Last Year's Ranking: NR

Porter is a plus athlete with strength on the wing in the 2028 class. He is incredibly explosive playing above the rim as one of the best dunkers in the state. Burst with the ball in his hands attacking downhill putting pressure on the rim. Flashes as a three point shooter and has the tools to be a very good rebounder and defender.

#10 [player_tooltip player_id='1552475' first='Marquis' last='Clark'] (Whitney Young – 2026)

Last Year's Ranking: #5

Clark has ranked toward the top of the 2026 class for the entirety of his high school career. The point guard from Whitney Young brings a strong frame and crisp ball handling to the table. He is an adequate shooter from three that can also do damage in the mid-range. Really like how he uses his strength slithery in the paint for soft touch finishes. Showed in the EYBL this summer he is a stat sheet stuffer with his passing and rebounding!
