The OHSAA season is about a month away and it's time to preview the top teams in all seven Division's! In this article we'll break down the watchlist teams who just missed our top 10 preseason rankings.

Arlington

Regional champions last season, Arlington graduates all-state performer Jase Vermillion but returns star big man [player_tooltip player_id='2873990' first='Calvin' last='Willow']. I'll be curious to see if Arlington can replicate their playoff success in a loaded northwest region but their size and athleticism should allow them to compete for a BVC title.

Leesburg Fairfield

One of the perennial powerhouses in the southeast district, Leesburg Fairfield returns 2027 stud [player_tooltip player_id='2387365' first='Brody' last='Smith']. With 40 total wins the past two seasons, I'd expect the Lions to be right around the 20 win mark once again in 2025-26.

Franklin Furnace Green

The Bobcats might've just went .500 last season but with a tough non conference schedule and one of the best players in the state in Division VII in Jon Knapp, I think they could be one of the most improved small schools in Ohio. The craziest part, Knapp is even better known on the diamond as a dominant pitcher.

Fairport Harding

The Skippers have some of the best guards in all of Division VII and return some strong talent after an 18 win season last year. [player_tooltip player_id='2816089' first='Yomar' last='Castellano'] is the marquee name to know for Fairport Harding this season.

Medina Christian Academy

One of the rising programs in the OHSAA, Medina Christian continues to improve as a program thanks to star [player_tooltip player_id='2916196' first='Rj' last='Walgate']. Now a Junior, Walgate has the talent to carry them to a couple wins this winter off his size, motor and interior scoring ability. Medina Christian Academy also sees a wide mix of teams throughout the season that should prepare them for a playoff run.
