I previously commented on Yomar’s ability to play the role of a “true point guard”—handling the ball, facilitating, and creating plays for others. While that’s a big part of Castellano’s game, it’s not the whole picture. Yomar is just as skilled at creating scoring opportunities for himself as he is for his teammates. He’s tough to keep in front of, and he capitalizes on every chance he gets around the rim.

Yomar is a true lead guard—a heady, intense, and vocal floor general. He brings everything a coach looks for in a point guard. Castellano makes up for his smaller stature with relentless, high-pressure defense, holding his own even against much bigger opponents.
