Minnesota Fury: The Ten Best – The Program that Wins
Fury teams win, win and win some more. In bulk. Multiple teams at every level ranking with the best of their age group. And speaking of the best of a winning program.... who are the best Fury players ever? We give you the players that we think are the best in Fury history.
Myles Hanson (Chaska). Explosive player from the Hawks that went to Columbia out out of high school and also played for Xavier and Stonehill but dealt with a lot of injuries in college. He was a D1 talent coming out of high school.
Nathan Heise (Lake City). Heise was outstanding for Northern Iowa and now he is a key part of a very, very good Iowa State program.
Jordan Horn (Tartan). After a strong career at Tartan, Jordan went East to Siena before coming back to this area to play for North Dakota State and then CSP.
Jacob Hutson (Edina). Huston started his college career at Loyola Chicago and then found his way to Northern Iowa as he spent three years as a starter in the Missouri Valley.
Michael Jones (Woodbury). Jones had a remarkable career playing for Davison and then after getting his career and having to move on (Davison doesn't have grad programs), Jones moved to the high major level at Stanford.
Rocky Kreuser (Totino-Grace). A three year double figure scorer at NDSU who averaged 16 points as a senior. Three times honored all league.
Steffon Mitchell (Shakopee). Mitchell is one of the top rebounders in Boston College history constantly ranking with the ACC leaders in that category. A very hard working player.
Will Moreton (Edina). The 6'6 Moreton is one of these players that never stopped getting better. He kept working earning three times all conference and a career high 40 point game.
Francis Nwakorie (Champlin Park). Francis averaged about 12 and six across three years at UC-San Diego and then he moved his D1 career to Loyola-Chicago where he played his final season last year.
Ben Oberfeld (Eastview). The tough guy rebounder went from Eastvew to play at Bucknell where Ben dealt with injuries but he was a regular when healthy.
Grant Shaeffer (Eden Prairie). A 16ppg senior year scorer for UST, Grant had a standout career for the Tommies just before they started thinking D1 level.
Cameron Steele (Minnetonka). Steele played in the NCAA Tournament as a young forward and then started 40 games for Abilene Christian as he got older.
Terez Van Pelt (Osseo). Scored nearly 1,600 points at Concordia-St. Paul including a 19 point per game season at one point as an All NSIC player.
