Let's look at the teams that we feel will contend for a class A title from the North division in the CHSAA.

Another day another transfer that hurts a team. In the crazy High School world of free agency it is hard to keep up with all the comings and goings. St. John's Prep is the latest with hopes of a division title to feel the transfer bug hurt. But the roster is still talented.
DaQuan Bryant a dynamic 5”9 2026 can do it all. Excellent court vision. Very quick with the ball in his hands he puts pressure on the defense. A great distributor of the ball. Has the ability to get into the lane amongst the trees and score.

St Edmund's looks to be the team to beat in the North and quite possibly in the class A overall. A tremendous mix of senior leadership from [player_tooltip player_id='2027761' first='Dylan' last='Gallagher'] at 6”1 he can flat out score the ball. His teammate at 6”3 [player_tooltip player_id='1729835' first='Dylan' last='Tasso'] defends at a high level. This lefty player brings his intensity to both ends of the floor. A slasher type player very strong going to the basket.

The youngsters are extremely talented. Kenyatta Wilkerson is a 6”4 2027 lefty who jumps out of the gym. He has made tremendous improvement on his perimeter jumper through hard work which you always like to see from a young player. Two 2028 guards will be relied on and I feel from seeing them will succeed. Danny Schmitt at 5”11 is a lefty with unlimited range. He can knock down shots. Also has shown excellent court vision.

Kalel Green I feel could be special. 5”8 2028 another lefty. Extremely quick with the ball. He possesses a great handle. He has shown a really nice pull up jumper. Guards with determination and quickness all 94 feet.

McClancy will be a team that will get a few upsets along the way and keep their name in the division title race. They will get it from excellent guard play. 2026 5”7 Justin Williams has an excellent feel for the game. A playmaker who makes the right play. Offensively he can get into the lane and score.

[player_tooltip player_id='2234124' first='Brayden' last='Ojeda'] 6”0 2027 is the main guy and a player to watch. He can play either guard spot. Finds ways to score the ball. Very crafty. He can score in bunches. A bucket getter.

Lasalle will have Yasser Calderon 5”10 2026 to lead them. Very confident player. Really good downhill player. Outstanding on the ball defender.

Two 2027 players will need to step up big for LaSalle and it looks like they're ready.
[player_tooltip player_id='2706060' first='Maurice' last='Cox'] a 5”10 is long and lanky. He has great court vision. Really good at attacking the defense going downhill. Has shown great anticipation skills on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2891929' first='Jaiden' last='Seawright'] also 2027 at 5”7 can really shoot it from beyond the arc.
