Hoop Group hosted an exposure event at its headquarters in Neptune on Friday night, bringing in several dozen prospects from across the Garden State with most projecting as likely small-college recruits at various levels. We'll continue coverage by highlighting a few guards who impressed us as potential priority recruits at the upper D3 level.

In a setting that could sometimes devolve into helter-skelter, iso-heavy basketball, Farber stood out with his consistent poise and IQ while scoring efficiently from multiple levels of the floor. With heavy experience last year in a well-structured Cherry Hill East offense, the southpaw utility guard was seemingly always making smooth reads with the ball in his hands whether keeping it moving to cutting teammates, knocking down open shots from the perimeter, or putting it on the deck crafty downhill drives. He's not the flashiest player or the splashiest athlete, but Farber's strong frame, mind for the game, and well-rounded skill level should place him on a ton of small-college boards as he continues to gain winning experience in the next couple years.

Arguably the most athletic guard in the gym, Cummings stood out from start to finish with his natural physical gifts, consistent energy, and a budding halfcourt skillset. A long and cat-quick guard, he used his athletic tools to routinely convert defense into offense for easy buckets in transition, including multiple above-the-rim finishes. As the night went on, he got seemingly more comfortable making things happen in the halfcourt off the bounce, in particular showing a nice feel as a secondary facilitator. Transferring to Woodbridge from nearby JFK Memorial, Cummings has the physical profile to potentially earn scholarship attention down the line if he can continue refining his skillset.

Another player who stood out with his versatility and poise across situations was Lee, a well-rounded, strong-bodied guard who found the bottom of the net in an array of ways. Lee showed high levels of overall craft and touch on a number of forays to the rim, while also stepping outside the arc for what looks to be a clean perimeter shooting stroke. He may struggle to find a defensive fit at the scholarship level, but Lee's IQ and versatility across the backcourt should make him a nice fit at the academic D3 level in a year's time.

Camp settings generally provide an opportunity for iso scorers to showcase themselves and this one was no different, but Desrosiers stood out as doing it better than the rest with a frame that projects nicely to the college level. A strong, physical guard, he was consistent in using his blend of strength and quickness to work his way downhill and pressure the rim. He was able to create something out of nothing on multiple occasions with tough buckets at the cup or in the midrange. We'll look to see more of his perimeter shooting and overall floor game in future settings, but Desrosiers should certainly be on small-college radars in due time with his physicality and scoring ability.

Sometimes all it takes to stand out is your energy, and Davidson's play on Friday was proof of just that. A jet-quick lead guard with length to play a bit bigger than his listed height, he set the tone from the opening tip with aggressive on-ball defense and unselfish downhill attacking. Smaller guards have to find specific areas to excel at the next level, and Davidson looks to have done so with his commitment to defending the ball, setting up his teammates, and playing harder than anybody on the floor. He may not pass the eye test but looks to be a valued piece of a college program down the line.
