A unique and versatile two way piece who plays much larger than his measurables suggest and consistently embraces the gritty side of the game with a tireless work rate, Abraham Desrosiers Abraham Desrosiers 6'2" | SF Linden | 2027 State NJ excelled in the less glamorous aspects of the game. Hard nosed and bringing a relentless level of effort and energy, Desrosiers’ impact was felt in areas far beyond the box score— extremely active hands and a high amount of ball pressure to be disruptive and force steals while also contesting and altering shot attempts. Making the most of his touches on the offensive end, Desrosiers capitalized on a number of looks around the basket, converting on put backs on the offensive glass, finishing at the rim as a cutter in different half court sets, and even attacking driving angles when the opposing defense was forced into rotations.

Desrosiers has the potential to breakout this season as he should get more touches in the half court. The 6’2 guard uses his handle to get into the paint off the bounce and knows how to finish around the rim. Desrosiers has a nice touch in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works hard on the defensive end and rarely forces shots in the half court. Desrosiers is a tough guard prospect whose ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor will help his stock throughout the course of the season.

A strong and versatile guard who often times finds himself doing a lot of the dirty work for his Linden squad, Hoop Group’s Mid-Atlantic Elite Camp saw Abraham Desrosiers Abraham Desrosiers 6'2" | SF Linden | 2027 State NJ thrive in a little bit of a different role. Desrosiers showcased his improving guard skills with his ability to handle the basketball against opposing pressure and make keen decisions with the ball in his hands. Possessing a tighter and more confident handle as of late, Desrosiers impressed with his ability to initiate offense and often times make the right read to keep the defense honest.

Camp settings generally provide an opportunity for iso scorers to showcase themselves and this one was no different, but Desrosiers stood out as doing it better than the rest with a frame that projects nicely to the college level. A strong, physical guard, he was consistent in using his blend of strength and quickness to work his way downhill and pressure the rim. He was able to create something out of nothing on multiple occasions with tough buckets at the cup or in the midrange. We’ll look to see more of his perimeter shooting and overall floor game in future settings, but Desrosiers should certainly be on small-college radars in due time with his physicality and scoring ability.
