CP3NMSC East (ATL) Superlatives: 7th Grade Ball-Handlers

Emerson, GA — The CP3 East National Middle School Combine was held this past weekend in Georgia, featuring some of the region's top young prospects. With the event now complete, we turn our attention to the players who made an impact. In part two of our coverage for the class of 2031, we focus on some of the top ball handlers, guards who impressed with their control, creativity, and ability to set the tone off the dribble...    Loren Hall put his advanced ball-handling skills on full display at the 2025 CP3 NMSC East Combine, consistently breaking down defenders with a tight, creative handle. His elite control allowed him to get wherever he wanted on the floor, while his strong court awareness made him equally effective as a playmaker. Hall excelled at involving teammates, reading defenses, and delivering the right pass at the right time. With the ball in his hands, he created consistent problems for defenders, blending shiftiness and vision to establish himself as one of the top lead guards in attendance…     Carter Singleton used his burst of speed and tight ball-handling to consistently beat defenders off the dribble at the 2025 CP3 NMSC East Combine. He showed strong command of the game with the ball in his hands, reading defenses and dictating both the flow and pace of play. Singleton's feel for the game was evident as he balanced attacking opportunities with making the right reads for his teammates. His quickness, poise, and ability to control the tempo highlighted him as a reliable floor general and key backcourt presence throughout the combine.     Jai Smith displayed a strong set of ball-handling skills at the 2025 CP3 NMSC East Combine, using his control and creativity to consistently set up his team for success. He showed a natural feel for reading defenses, making sound decisions with the ball in his hands and keeping the offense flowing. Smith balanced scoring and facilitating well, proving to be a steady presence in the backcourt. His ability to make good reads and put teammates in position to succeed highlighted his value as a reliable guard and floor general.     Collin Upshaw established himself as a talented and skilled lead guard at the 2025 CP3 NMSC East Combine, impressing every time the ball was in his hands. He showcased excellent control of the game, keeping defenders on their heels with his combination of speed, handle, and decision-making. Upshaw was effective in creating offense both for himself and for teammates, dictating pace while applying constant pressure to opposing defenses. His poise and consistent impact highlighted him as one of the more reliable and dynamic guards this weekend.     Elijah White showcased elite ball-handling ability throughout the 2025 CP3 NMSC East Combine, keeping defenders off balance with his creativity and speed. At his best with the ball in his hands, White dictated pace and created separation using a smooth blend of hesitation moves, crossovers, and bursts of quickness. His shiftiness made him extremely difficult to contain, as he consistently broke down defenders and opened up scoring opportunities.
