We stopped by the Breakdown Fall League Sunday for a day of exciting basketball with a lot of big moments. Lets run through some of the biggest takeaways from the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='2388499' first='Anthony' last='Byrd'] of Hopkins. When Hopkins tipped off yesterday they did so with a 6'8 big man that made me have to do some research. Byrd runs very well, moves well laterally, gets off his feet quickly and was rebounding and sprinting both ways. He had a help over block off the backboard that was nasty. He was at Cooper a year ago and scored 11 points a game but has really filled out and should help this team tremendously.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560824' first='Deangelo' last='Dungey'] of Totino-Grace. When the Eagles were making their run at the end of the game on Sunday against Hopkins, Dungey was ball pressuring and making an impact. He also made a big shot late in the game and his fit with this group looked really good. Had a key assist to [player_tooltip player_id='1560835' first='Tian' last='Chatman'] for a big three late in the game against Hopkins as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560839' first='Xavier' last='Frelix'] of Hopkins. Frelix is a shooter and we all know that. He's the guy you have to find. But his basket attack is really getting better. That opens up the pull-up even more and his finish at the cup before the buzzer beating Totino-Grace was outstanding. Frelix found his way through three or four bodies and finished on the opposite side with his left just before two help defenders closed the opening.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] of Rosemount. I think Rosemount is so close to being a third contender in 3AAAA and Peyton is a big reason. A quality shooter that can play both guard spots, he had a good day playmaking but the biggest item was his steal and finish for the game winner in sudden death overtime. The talent is there, keep an eye on the Irish.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560740' first='Dothan' last='Ijadimbola'] of Totino-Grace. This was the best I have seen Dothan play in a long time. Loved what he did with his back to the basket, really liked his rim run, he got off the ground well and was showing the pop in his legs and agility in his frame that we saw before the hip injury. Scored several times when I was looking on and it was a concentrated effort to score high percentage buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1886972' first='Amari' last='Nobles'] of Mankato East. With a couple starting guards not at the fall league I thought Amari did a tremendous job of balancing all the jobs he had to do. He was playing point at times, he was the playmaker, Amari hit a big three late against Rosemount to force overtime, and defensively he is really good and was solid there yesterday as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='2052332' first='Trey' last='Theis'] of Prior Lake. I thought Trey was one of the best players I saw all day. He hit shots from the perimeter, Trey moved the ball with great pop allowing the Lakers to take good shots all game, he finished around the cup and did some with the dribble too. One of the best with the extra pass you will see. Very impressive day from Trey.
