2027 New Addition

The second installment of the 2027 New Addition Report highlights another impressive group of rising talent making waves across the region. This edition continues to showcase a diverse mix of prospects who are standing out for their advanced skillsets, competitive drive, and ability to impact games on both ends of the floor. As these players build on early successes, their development and performances promise to shape the future landscape and elevate expectations for the class.    Isreal continues to be a name that pops up for me and brings intrigue to the court. He is one that has solid and build at 6-4, moves well and all around the court, understands how to make plays around the basket, but also can show his ability to knock down shots from an array of levels. Tough matchup to have on the court and he will be interesting to watch as he continues to develop. Tshipmaba Finish the season averaging 12pts, 1assists, and 2 steals a game as a sophomore last season.       Next, [player_tooltip player_id='2971996' first='Paul' last='Ransom'] is a 6-foot-0 prospect. There were a ton of notable guards in the class of 2027, and that certainly includes Britt. He's a smart, dynamic lead guard with a well-rounded skillset and a quality understanding of how to dictate the action. Ransom excels at getting downhill and applying pressure as a penetrator but also has a lethal midrange pull-up and reliable jumper from beyond the arc. He sees the floor well as a passer and looks to make the right play whenever the ball is in his hands. Ransom defends the point of attack with energy and toughness. Ransom is a very good floor general who knows how to affect the game in multiple ways. Competes hard on both sides of the ball. Look for Ransom to enjoyed a strong showing this season at Blair this season.     Next, [player_tooltip player_id='2972657' first='Max' last='Leeman'] is a 6-foot-6. It's easy to see what makes him such a nightmare for opponents. Leeman is an incredibly explosive, dynamic forward with excellent size, vision, and creation instincts. He gets downhill whenever he wants, displaying impressive pace and change of direction, and consistently finishes or sets up others. Leeman scores well from all levels and applies constant pressure in transition. He's also a quality rebounder and rugged defender who suffocates opponents and forces turnovers at a strong rate. Max is a physically advanced wing forward with size and a terrific downhill sense. Displays really good pace when playing in transition and the half court. Physical on-ball defender that will be even better as he continues to add strength.”     [player_tooltip player_id='2975873' first='Joseph' last='Clark'] is a 6-foot-0 prospect. He enters the new addition list with a notable reputation and the tools to be one of the better guards in the class. Clark is a smart, polished floor general with the handle, vision, and scoring polish to cause a ton of problems for opponents. Clark touches the paint and mixes it up well as a scorer from all levels. He's an excellent defender at the point of attack with the quickness to keep opponents in front. Quality rebounder for his size/position. Next in his development process is working on his awareness as an off-ball defender, as it would make him a more complete player. Clark possesses great feel for the game. He can keep working on being a high-level playmaker for others.     [player_tooltip player_id='2983884' first='Ja'Zyere' last='Thompson'] a 6-foot-3 wing prospect. Clearly one of the more dynamic wing guards in his class, he finds several ways to make his presence felt. Thompson is quick, crafty, and knows how to make an impact on both ends of the floor. He scored from all levels, created for himself and others, and showed the ability to play with or without the ball in his hands. Thompson rebounds well for his size and displays nice instincts as an on-ball defender. Next in his development process is working on getting stronger, as it would make him a more physically imposing defender. Ja'Zyere has no issues mixing it up well from all levels. Good pull-up jumper with the ability to attack off the bounce. Throughout this fall Thompson has showed that he is going to be a major piece in the Southern Maryland Christian success for the next two years.
