[player_tooltip player_id='1731639' first='DJ' last='Harper'] (McBee) - Leading off the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class A Preseason All-State Team is [player_tooltip player_id='1731639' first='DJ' last='Harper']. There are few better Point Guards in the class than McBee's lead dog. With the hiring of new Head Coach Zyrique Bradford and the departure of 10.6 Assists Per Game, there is clear room for growth for Harper. He had a fantastic Summer and will consistently raise the level of his teammates, which is why I have the Panthers as my dark horse Class A team this year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1848143' first='Jaden' last='Baylor'] (Abbeville) - Baylor is one of the top returning scorers in the State after putting up 16.8 Points Per Game a year ago. However, Jaden is also extremely efficient (51% FG in 2024-25) and plays in an offense that doesn't give him unlimited shots. He plays well through contact and can score at all three levels against even the best defenders in the division. Abbeville High School is my preseason #1 Team, and Jaden is my pick for Class A Player of the Year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2454347' first='Lamont' last='Williams'] (Lamar) - Despite being a Sophomore, it's clear to see the potential with Williams and the jump he could make in 2025-26. He averaged 11.7 Points Per Game and 9.4 Rebounds Per Game in his Freshman Season, so based on physical progression alone, there is room for statistical improvement. The Guard play around Lamont will determine how far the Silver Foxes go, but there will be times this season where Williams will put his team on his back and win games.

[player_tooltip player_id='2673795' first='Aissacc' last='Germany'] (CA Johnson) - There are plenty of names to choose from on the CA Johnson Hornets for All-State Honors, but I think there will be few players with more dominant two-way seasons than Aissacc. His size and athleticism are obvious difference makers around the rim, but he has developed some playmaking and shooting skills over the offseason. Germany will be one of the best players in Class A and is a big reason why I chose the Hornets as my preseason State Champion.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211021' first='Terrance' last='McFadden'] (Bethune-Bowman) - [player_tooltip player_id='2211021' first='Terrance' last='McFadden'] rounds out the Prep Hoops South Carolina Class A Preseason All-State Team. Terrance had an excellent Junior Year, averaging 22.0 Points Per Game and helping lead the Mohawks to a Lower State Championship berth. Not many schools are able to match McFadden's size, but he is also very skilled with terrific footwork, soft touch at the rim, and a decent handle. Keep an eye on Terrance to go out with a bang this season.
