Wisconsin Expo: Team 1 Evaluations

One of the better class of 2026 prospects at The Expo, Daly showed his versatility on both ends of the court throughout the afternoon. He guarded in the post and was also able to get into a stance and defend on the perimeter. He scored around the basket with his post moves and he also made some shots from the perimeter, including a few from beyond the arc. Daly also flashed his stellar passing ability for Team 1, often finding open teammates out of double teams. Daly has grown an inch or so since the end of the high school season last March and appears poised to have a huge senior season for New London.     One of the more pleasant surprises of The Expo, Rommelfanger was a consistent scorer on the low blocks for Team 1. He often was the recipient of excellent passes from teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1561965' first='Joseph' last='Daly'], and he converted time after time in traffic. Rommelfanger is a legitimate 6-foot-8 and has a frame that could definitely add weight and strength over the next few seasons. Rommelfanger contested shots in the lane and played with energy and determination throughout the afternoon.     Need a guy to run the floor and score at the rim in transition? Jerome is your guy. He plays with endless energy and with an eye toward the basket. And the results for Team 1 in its outing with Team 2 were definitely positive as Jerome scored at a high rate on the fast break. He also showed the ability to catch the ball on the wing and attack the basket with his size, strength and athleticism. Jerome is quick off his feet and plays with impressive aggressiveness on both ends of the court.     Cooper is an improved perimeter shooter who competes with his mobility, length and athleticism. He can get up and rip a rebound off the rim, put the ball on the floor and lead the fast break. He can also play on the perimeter in the half court, moving the ball, slashing to the rim and sinking jump shots. Cooper is an excellent run-and-jump athlete who is quick off his feet and can defend wings or lead guards. In the open court, Cooper is fast with the ball and can finish with ease above the rim. A very good athlete who has developed into a very good basketball player.     This young man figures to be a very important piece for a Mauston program looking to make some noise this winter in the South Central Conference. A good wing prospect with a solid frame and the ability to make perimeter shots and get to the basket, Ruland put forth stellar effort and produced at a steady clip for Team 1 at The Expo. He scored on cuts to the basket and in transition in addition to making some outside shots. Ruland played plenty as a sophomore for the varsity squad at Mauston, and will be counted on to help standout sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='2369883' first='Jase' last='Navis'] as the Golden Eagles look to contend in for the league title in 2025-26.     True point guard and team leader, DeNoble-Winkel is patient with the ball and gets the rock to his teammates in scoring position. He's also more than capable of making shots or getting into the lane to score or distribute. Defensively, DeNoble-Winkel gets into a good stance and moves his feet well, keeping opposing guards out of the lane while also putting some heat on the ball handler. Playing on another talented Ashwaubenon squad this winter, DeNoble-Winkel teams with seniors [player_tooltip player_id='2088029' first='Elijah' last='Fenner'], [player_tooltip player_id='2916415' first='Kingston' last='Vang'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2391086' first='Carson' last='Dorgu'] to give Ashwaubenon a solid base to build around this season.     Thorpe is in constant attack mode with the ball in his hands and he gets where he wants on the floor off the bounce due to his shiftiness, quickness and confidence. He scores in the lane over taller defenders with a quick release. Loves to use the hesitation dribble to keep defenders off balance and then zooms into the lane. Pretty solid court vision to go along with his penchant for getting to the basket.     Robertson gets better every day in practice at Milwaukee Juneau as he works against the Pioneers' top backcourt players in senior [player_tooltip player_id='2045272' first='Takis' last='Tyler'] and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2194315' first='Dooney' last='Johnson']. Competing against and with that type of talent each day has paid off as Robertson showed well in Appleton. He has a good basketball frame, runs the floor well and fills the lanes while getting to the basket and scoring in transition.     A late addition to The Expo, Peace played an important role for Team 1 as he helped his squad to a late rally in a close loss to Team 2 by making some huge baskets down the stretch of the contest. He got to the rim and finished off broken plays, but also also stepped up and made a couple of big shots from outside the arc. A key returning player for an Appleton West program hoping to take a step up in the Fox Valley Association, Peace has good size and versatility and will be a go-to player for the Terrors this winter.
