The Expo: Player Evaluations Part 1

The Expo is an opportunity for players to get in the gym and compete against some of the top players in the state. This is the place where players go from unknown to under rated. They got from under rated to ranked and considered. The gym was packed with talent and brought out some players that showed they have earned a spot among the elite in the state. Making the list that includes over 5000 total players is not an easy feat, but here is a place to earn their name.    [player_tooltip player_id='2837084' first='Raphael' last='Wesley'] demonstrated athleticism and a consistent ability to get to the rim and finish. He is an impressive ball handler and when he is aggressive can get to his spots at will. He will be a key piece for Pineville as they look to get back to top level status a couple years ago. He is also a tough defender and rebounds at a high level for a guard.     [player_tooltip player_id='2839297' first='Avanta' last='Lyons'] has been on a mission showcasing his improved skill set all summer. The showcase was just another day at the office for this stock riser in the 2026 class. In every situation, he just kept knocking down tough shot after tough shot. His game has improved in every aspect and he was impressive at the showcase. His move to ASH puts him on the big stage, and there is no doubt he will make big plays.     [player_tooltip player_id='2933714' first='Richie' last='Akin'] showed up to the camp to showcase his skill set. Akin is a shooter, and that is what he did at the camp. In any situation when given the opportunity to shoot it, he can knock down the shot. He moves effectively without the ball giving guards an option to make a play and he is a reliable weapon from anywhere on the court.     Percy Thompson lll was one of the most energetic players in the gym making plays on both sides of the ball. He is an intriguing prospect because his style of play is kinda old school. He sits on defense, and works to get to his spots for a nice mid range stroke. At the showcase he constantly showed skill, but his energy made him a standout. He competes on every single play and can score or facilitate with the same efficiency. On top of all that he is strong in the paint and around the rim. Look for his senior campaign to bring attention from next level recruiters.     [player_tooltip player_id='2953929' first='Erron' last='Williams'] has a strong reputation as a shooter, but at the showcase he took the time to show that he is also an elite defender and facilitator. He has the IQ to run an offense, but the skill to play off the ball and score. Williams will be a key piece to Captain Shreve and his grit and aggressive style of play fits perfectly with their relentless defensive style of play.
