Lyons has not seen a lot of minutes since the move to ASH, but the skill remains. He has all of the skills and tools along with a winning mentality to play at the next level. Every opportunity Lyons is given; he capitalizes by making the plays. He is a three-level scorer with college size and athleticism. Do not be surprised if he grabs meaningful minutes heading into District and makes some big plays.

Lyons has been on an exposure camp tour and proven that his ranking is just a number. The guy just keeps showing up and producing. His approach is all business, and he keeps showing up to prove his work is paying off. I will hold my thoughts on what he will do, because upon each evaluation he shows more. If you want a mid-range. He can give it to you. If you need a three ball. He can knock it down. If you need a facilitator? Mr. Lyons can check that box. Big things ahead for this one during his senior campaign.

Avanta Lyons Avanta Lyons LA has been on a mission showcasing his improved skill set all summer. The showcase was just another day at the office for this stock riser in the 2026 class. In every situation, he just kept knocking down tough shot after tough shot. His game has improved in every aspect and he was impressive at the showcase. His move to ASH puts him on the big stage, and there is no doubt he will make big plays.

Avanta Lyons is a speedy guard who excels at getting to the basket past defenders immediately after the catch during the offense and in transition situations, quickly dribbling down the court before opposing defenses can set up. His exceptional skill in this area draws a significant amount of contact at the basket, ultimately leading him to the free-throw line. I’ve witnessed multiple games where he’s been automatic from that area. While handling the ball in the half-court, he makes plays for his teammates due to his evident passing skills. As the Prep Hoops summer circuit season progressed, Avanta improved significantly.

What’s Next for Avanta?
Avanta, a rising senior, recently transferred from Pineville High School to Alexandria Senior High School. Joining a team that went 27-8 throughout the 2024-25 season, I believe Avanta will fit right in. In my opinion, Avanta is ready for the next level, and I’m confident he’ll be offered a scholarship before the end of his high school season.

Avanta Lyons is a pace setter waiting patiently for his teammates to set the offense up when he has the ball in his possession. He makes very quick reads when getting his teammates involved sharing the ball to off ball teammates. Offensively he has a quick handle using it to run the offense at an elite level for Cenla Hoops. When scoring the ball, he uses his shifty handle to get his defenders off balance on his way to the rim possessing a quick first step. Avanta draws a lot of contact when he goes up for layups getting to the charity strike a lot. When at the charity strike, Avanta has a very fluid free throw form that results in him being very efficient in that area.
