Starting my team by team breakdowns from the expo we have our team 1 standouts, a couple of these players were already featured in my top performers article so this will be all new names we haven't yet discussed from the showcase.

A quick guard, Sanders was getting busy attacking off the dribble and wasn't afraid to try and make plays for himself or others. Sanders had a couple nice drives to the rim and liked the floater as a way to score before the bigs could alter his shots in the paint.

The second northwest Ohio prospect to be featured in this article and not the only Clay product to shine at the Prep Hoops Expo, things are definitely looking up for that program heading into the 2025-26 season with a deep 2027 class. Buffaloe showed good hustle fighting for loose balls and scored off a curl cut. Overall, Buffaloe was opportunistic in taking advantage of the chances he got to score the basketball and found himself in the right place at the right time.

Lutheran West was another high school program who brought multiple prospects to The Expo and those prospects had a good day impacting the game. Kuszmaul knocked down a handful of 3-pointers off the catch and has good positional size on the perimeter. Add in a couple mid-range shots and Kuszmaul was one of the leading scorers outside the paint at the entire showcase.

One of the smallest players in the showcase, that didn't stop Luis from making an impact. Luis showed an impressive feel for the game with a couple drift passes on the baseline that really stood out. As a scorer Luis hit a 3-pointer from behind where the college 3-point line would be and had a nice lefty finish, but the passing on drives was definitely what stood out the most on Saturday.

A prospect I got to see a little during the spring with G Mode on the Prep Hoops Circuit, this was the most I've gotten to focus on Smith's game. An athletic wing who almost threw down a crazy dunk in the half-court, defenses had to be aware of where he was at all times. With a bunch of buckets in the paint, Smith scored off cuts, second chance points and attacking closeouts. Impressive wing athlete from Akron's 2027 class.

The lone ranked prospect to be featured in this article, Kibler was getting buckets from multiple areas on the court. Able to get hot from the outside and drive right down the lane, Kibler is a natural scorer who can create for himself. When I see Kibler either during the high school or grassroots season with Ohio Champion, I'll be focusing on how well he defends, that would be the skill that could see his ranking improve over the next year and a half.
