Several Class AAA sections look like they could be won by just about anybody this year, but 3AAA seems the most wide open.

Super Summary

When I tell you nothing would surprise me here, I mean it. I literally mean that out of the seven teams in 3AAA, if any of them made state I would not be surprised. There is no team here that looks to be too much higher or too much lower than the others. Sure I had to say who I think will win more games or win less games in the sections below, but that is just a guess. Each of these teams has returning players, each of these teams has holes to fill, and those with less holes to fill seem to have to take bigger steps forward and vice versa.

I think STA has the best player in Lars but they also return less from their rotation than the other six teams. And lets be honest St. Thomas is a revolving door of coaches at the moment. All that said..... the Cadets won the more games than the other teams in the section in 24-25, STA does have the best player (Lars) plus a few deep reserves back so they would likely be my preseason pick. STA or Minneapolis Roosevelt who has a lot of experience returning plus the player that I think is the other top section player ([player_tooltip player_id='1560875' first='Calvin' last='Peterson']).

The best up and comer is [player_tooltip player_id='2435232' first='Jumair' last='Wright'] and I think between him and the Ibrahims (Ramadan and Ridwan), South can make a lot of noise too. Simley has some talent, they should improve. South St. Paul continually finishes below expectations but they have talent, and I really like what Como Park and Highland Park have done with their recent hires. When you look at Jake Sullivan, Joe Hyser, Willie Braziel and Zach Towle among others, I could see a coach really getting one of these groups to motivate and get on a big roll.
