DeAndre Stewart (Whitfield): A 5'8 guard who pound for pound one of the toughest players around. I was impressed with how he could elevate to take rebounds away from taller players and dig into the post for steals. He is a potent scoring threat who uses his strength to bully defenders into the lane for layups and short jumpers.

Tatum Branam (Hallsville): A 5'10 point guard who had good athleticism and who played with a fearlessness that had people watching him excited. He was penetrating into the lane and taking the ball at defenders who were almost a foot taller. He could also hit the 3-pointer off the high ball screen. He was also flying around on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2637336' first='Derrick' last='Murray'] (Lift for Life): A 5'8 point guard who is an aggressive on-ball defender. He was getting up into ball handlers and moving his feet very well. He has the quickness to beat defenders with a straight line drive. He also has a nice step back jumper in the lane.

Tristan Howard (CBC): A 6'0 guard who scored 12 points in his opening game. He is a good slasher who scores on penetrating drives in the lane. He also makes good use of shot fakes to set up his drive game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2871934' first='Dallas' last='Owens'] (Cardinal Ritter): A 5'11 combo guard who is solidly built and can use his strength at both ends of the court. He can handle and pass it well and he can shoot it from 3-point range. He was also getting after it on the defensive end with tenacity.

[player_tooltip player_id='2920286' first='Legacy' last='Knighten'] (Confluence): A 5'10 point guard who has good quickness. He used his speed to excel in the open court to push tempo. He can hit the pull up jumper from the mid range or knock down a 3-pointer.

Elijah Baucom (Pattonville): A 5'9 guard who had some impressive moments on Saturday evening. In the second half of the game, he got very comfortable and started to get busy with penetrating drives for layups and pull up jumpers. His confidence grew with each positive play he made.
