Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase – Team 7 Evaluations

Not only is it a great opportunity for our staff to get an early evaluation of some of the most talented freshmen before the begin their high school career, but it also serves as an important evaluation/recruiting tool for our state's many great AAU programs. This year we welcomed in over 100 of the best Class of 2029 prospects here in Indiana. Even though he's currently on the smaller side at 5'6", Hester showed a lot of toughness, playing with an extremely high motor and quickness on both ends of the floor. He also has a very quick trigger on his jumper. At 5'7", Robbins is a point guard who can play effectively both on and off the ball. He pushed the pace well and, when open, showed a smooth and consistent shot from behind the arc. Burks is a short yet quick guard who consistently played with a burst when the ball was in his hands. Listed at around 6'3", Wallace is a long and lanky wing who did a really good job of getting to his spots on the wing. Listed at 6'7", Johnson is one of the other incoming freshmen for Delta who will likely start right away at the center position. Not only is he a massive presence in the paint on both ends of the floor, but he was also one of the better passers I saw on the day, able to find the open man when the double-team came. Playing with a high motor, Sigmund could really push the pace, get in the lane quickly, shoot it from deep, and defend. He really did a good job of staying active on offense, both on and off the ball, and should be a factor for Decatur Central sooner rather than later.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
