NJ Legacy Paterson Fall Ball: Monday, September 8th Standouts

Fall leagues in the state of New Jersey have kicked off and are in full effect. As of earlier this week, prospects have been competing with their respective high school programs in different preseason fall leagues all across the state. In the midst of early preseason action, we've seen some prospects start to step into what are expected to be different and/ or larger roles for the upcoming season. With New Jersey Legacy's Fall Ball League being a staple for New Jersey fall leagues at the historic Paterson Catholic in Paterson, NJ let's dive into some prospects that stood out over Monday night's action earlier this week.    Amari Delacruz was super aggressive in getting downhill attacking the basket. Delacruz's aggression in getting to the basket unlocked ample trips to the free throw line. Delacruz mixed in different finishes in traffic with crafty finishes off the glass and different floaters in the paint.     Adin Goldschneider demonstrated his ability to attack the basket off dribble drives and finish strong. Goldschneider got downhill with good pace and even flashed his craftiness as a finisher. Goldschnieder also shined on the defensive end using his strong defensive intangibles to turn defense into offense.     [player_tooltip player_id='1853445' first='Ali' last='Kelleh'] thrived in transition both as initiator, grabbing rebounds and pushing the break as well as a lane runner, sprinting the floor and getting ahead of the defense in transition. In the half court, Kelleh excelled as an off ball cutter, constantly cutting to open space. Kelleh was also extremely active on the glass, crashing the glass and consistently coming down with rebounds.     [player_tooltip player_id='2788641' first='Gavin' last='Roach'] was extremely aggressive in his downhill pursuit of the basket. Roach's aggression in attacking the basket, both in transition and in West Side's half court offense, awarded him a boatload of trips to the free throw line. Roach played with a tremendous motor, making highlight plays defensively throughout the entire course of the game.     [player_tooltip player_id='2194744' first='AJ' last='Greig'] impressed with his shot making ability in the mid range and in between area off the bounce. Greig was aggressive in getting to his spots and did a good job of playing off two feet and utilizing different pump fakes to evade defenders and finish over different contests.     [player_tooltip player_id='2421360' first='Tom' last='Diomedi'] flashed his ability to score on the ball while also demonstrating his ability to be effective off the ball. Diomedi showed flashes of his ability to score out of the triple threat, his mid range shot making ability, as well as his ability to score out of the low post. Diomedi also displayed his ability to move well without the basketball, constantly cutting to open space. Diomedi was also impactful on the offensive glass, crashing the boards and generating extra possessions and getting putbacks.     [player_tooltip player_id='2628254' first='Sebastian' last='Rogers']' finishing ability was on full display Monday night. Whether it was crashing the offensive glass and getting putbacks, catching dump offs in the dunker spot from penetrating guards, or catching the ball in stride in transition and finishing above the rim, Rogers showcased good hands and nice touch around the basket.
