The monster list of quality competitors continues as so many played well at this year's Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140618' first='Griffin' last='Carroll'] of Totino-Grace (5'10). This year with the Fury there are four things I thought Griffin brought: 1) a constant defensive effort to fight to the right spot, 2) three point shooting, 3) toughness, and 4) good decision making. We saw those four constants at the Expo this past Sunday and I would expect as he works his way into that extended Eagle rotation this year, he will be the right role guy doing those things for TG as well. A dependable player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2848032' first='James' last='McGinley'] of Eagan (7'0). Let's get the obvious out the way, James is huge. And when a player that size puts in the effort to get up and down, and puts in the effort to force shots in the paint over him, it's a good thing. He's a guy you might not have seen in the winter because Eagan has a lot of good 6'6 and over size, but James has been playing hard in a couple camps and improved with Elevate Skills this summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1874917' first='Micah' last='Nwachukwu'] of St. Cloud Apollo (6'2). I think of Micah kind of like I would a good running back: he keeps coming downhill at you over and over, and sometimes the results may be a miss or a mistake, but those are mixed in with physical and athletic first step attacks that are consistent. And as the game moves on, players tire both on the ball and in help, and a great back/attacking basketball player keeps coming at the tiring defense and finds results. That is what I've seen from Micah and the past and that is what I saw from him this past Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140671' first='Milton' last='Nuahn'] of BSM (6'1). Everything Nuahn seemed to do this weekend was with his physicality. He is a 210 pound guard at 6'2 that just bullied guys at times to do what he wanted on offense. BSM will need him to do just that next year as Milton will be one of the BSM more relied on players and you could clearly see this weekend that Milton was ready for that physical challenge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126465' first='Tommy' last='Schabert'] of Farmington (6'6). They always talk "bigger/faster/stronger" in athletics and with good reason. The bigger, faster and stronger you are the more advantages you get. That said, when most guys improve in those areas it's just slight improvements or it's just in one area. Not Tommy, he looks like he's entering his junior year of college after a red-shirt season and two years of playing! I highly doubt there are more than two guys on is schedule this year that will be able to knock Schabert off his balance meaning Tommy is going to finish at a high percentage, rebound in bulk and win a lot of post battles just like he did this past weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2052332' first='Trey' last='Theis'] of Prior Lake (6'6). I feel like the next step Trey makes is going to be a big one. He's right there is a quality prospect with size, skill and agility. Type of guy that can be used in about three different spots with success and always produces in a consistent way. An event like this doesn't always spotlight a guy like Trey because let's face it...... ball movement isn't always the best and our wonderful videos guys don't do many videos of good defense, smart passing, and consistent rebounding, but Trey did those things in a showcase environment. And you know who did notice that? Those veteran coaches on the bench and those college coaches in the stands.
