High School Spotlight: Columbus East Olympians

We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 86-106<strong>&nbsp;</strong>as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>A sneaky team to make a run in Class 4A South. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2399375' first='Keaton' last='Lawson']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/jahari-miller/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Columbus East is a sneaky team to watch in southern Indiana at the Class 4A level, and a big reason for that is senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2399375' first='Keaton' last='Lawson']. A multi-sport athlete, Lawson brings a ton of talent to the hardwood with the versatility to play both on and off the ball. He's arguably one of the most athletic players in the in-state 2026 class and has a natural feel for the game. Lawson nearly averaged a double-double last season, posting 18.8 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game. Expect him to once again be the engine that drives Columbus East this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2470630' first='Judah' last='Lewis']<a href="https://prephoops.com/player/landon-lampley/"></a></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Running alongside Lawson this upcoming season will be junior guard <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2470630' first='Judah' last='Lewis']</strong>, who looks poised for a breakout year. Lewis appeared in just nine varsity games last season, but he's expected to take on a much larger role this time around. A quick and athletic guard, he plays with a strong first step and tight handle, allowing him to create off the dribble and make plays.
