The 2025 Prep Hoops Carolinas Freshman Showcase and Top 250 Expo were held in Rock Hill, South Carolina on Saturday. This is one of the best days of the year because there were over 150 of the best prospects from North Carolina and South Carolina competing under one roof. Take a look at my Freshman Showcase Team 1 Evaluations:

#7 [player_tooltip player_id='2899306' first='DaMar'e' last='Spriggs'] (Heathwood Hall) - Leading off our Team 1 Evaluations is [player_tooltip player_id='2899306' first='DaMar'e' last='Spriggs'] of Heathwood Hall. Spriggs had a high usage rate for his team because of how unselfish he was with the rock. He showcased his ability to handle under pressure, keep teammates involved, and even find his own shot if the pass wasn't there.

#42 [player_tooltip player_id='2920496' first='Tristan' last='Bushnell'] (Community School of Davidson) - Tristan was the lone North Carolina player on Team 1. However, he was one of the more advanced 2029s I saw because of his shooting ability. This gives him a high floor as a prospect and leads me to believe he could have an early impact for CSD.

#340 [player_tooltip player_id='2511655' first='Adonis' last='Thompson'] (Irmo) - Thompson had some strong moments as a scorer for his team in Rock Hill. He is a gifted shooter off the dribble, both in the mid-range and behind the arc. Adonis also had a nice up-and-under lay as well as several other clean interior layups.

#350 [player_tooltip player_id='2957391' first='Noah' last='Marcum'] (Andrew Jackson) - Noah is one of two Andrew Jackson Guards on Team 1. Marcum was able to impact the game with his shooting ability this weekend. I saw him hit two nice jumpers, including a mid-range fade and a left-corner three, as well as a pair of free throws.

#351 [player_tooltip player_id='2935549' first='Jaden' last='Thomas'] (Andrew Jackson) - Thomas is the other Team 1 Volunteer, and a guy that could be a big player for them in the future. Jaden is a lefty guard who displayed a nice balance of passing and scoring with his positional length, floor vision, and skilled handle.

#354 [player_tooltip player_id='2881396' first='Briggs' last='Rogers'] (May River) - I enjoyed watching Briggs in this setting because he didn't need to force shots to make a positive impact, excelling as a cutter and a passer. Rogers has a good feel for spacing both with and without the ball, which he displayed with off-ball movement and dump-off passes to bigs.

#759 [player_tooltip player_id='2489408' first='Cory' last='James'] (Dreher) - James impressed with his athleticism. He made plays close to the rim on both ends of the floor, using that bounce to block shots and finish at the cup. Cory was aggressive with the ball in his hands and frequently beat his man on the perimeter.

#766 [player_tooltip player_id='2897212' first='Austin' last='Dunleavy'] (Wando) - Rounding out our Team 1 Evaluations is one of the top overall Freshmen, [player_tooltip player_id='2897212' first='Austin' last='Dunleavy']. Dunleavy was on fire from three in Rock Hill, but also proved to be a viable option off the dribble, too. Keep an eye out for my Freshman Favorites Article for a deeper breakdown on Austin.
