The 2027 class was just hit really hard by transfers in the last two months but the class as a whole is still really solid. There have been quite a few new names added in this update. Here's a look at the new names in our latest update for the rising Junior class.

Waller is an interesting prospect because of his size and his offensive skill set. He also looks like he's going to keep growing and developing. He's got a high ceiling and his floor will only be low if he doesn't develop a motor that matches his skills and potential. CJ is certainly a name to monitor over the upcoming months and could be the next great mountain prospect if he starts to realize how good he can be.

Shearer is better than 42nd in the class but he has to start somewhere. He's got good size and can score the ball. He's shown a good IQ also and knows how to make plays with the ball in his hands. Oakland was limited in high school last season but is primed for a breakout and has the physical tools to be an impact player this year and work his way on to college radars in the near future.

Admittedly, I haven't laid eyes on Cruz yet but reports are that he could be one of the best players in the state in 2027 and is an immediate impact player in the third region. A 6'5 guard with international experience, Carlos has impressive highlights against Team USA on social media and I'm interested to see him this upcoming season. Sticking him at 20th in the class to start out with, Cruz could move way up in the future if he's as good as advertised.

Ellis is a potential star for Corbin this season after losing [player_tooltip player_id='2541123' first='Ryder' last='Akins'] to transfer this summer. Evan didn't get eligible until last in the season but he averaged nearly 14 points per game once he was able to hit the court. In his limited action, Evan shot an impressive 49-42-83 and chipped in 6 rebounds per game. This is likely just a starting point for Evan's ranking position but he has a chance to move way up.

Brayden may be the best pure shooter that I've seen in the class so far. As a Sophomore, he averaged 22 points per game and shot 49% from three. Known more for his baseball prowess than his basketball skills, I'm not so sure that Shepherd shouldn't be holding multiple scholarship offers on the court before all is said and done. He's a name to monitor this season for regional colleges and if he shoots 49% from three again, he may attract even more schools soon.
