Movers & Shakers

[player_tooltip player_id='2303392' first='Jase' last='Smith'] 34 to 20: Jase has returned from a devastating injury during his sophomore year and got back in the groove last year but made a huge impact on us when attending the Hoop Summit in Morgantown in August. Coaches loved Smith's energy, athleticism and basketball IQ. Smith still has a high ceiling and should get college attention by the season's end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2715910' first='Jerin' last='Westfall'] 41 to 21: Westfall is one of the state's best all-around athlete's that has largely flown under the radar in all sports. Yet, Westfall showed up to the Hoop Summit and impressed immediately and how we know that is because we had multiple coaches inquiring that morning. That strong showing parlayed quickly into a D2 offer from WV Weslyan.

[player_tooltip player_id='2704995' first='Nathan' last='Dixon'] 68 to 52: Dixon has made the climb 16 spots and done it in a hurry. Wrapping up school season with several impressive scoring outings and continuing that momentum into AAU season where he made huge leaps of improvement and showed some additional tools in his bag.

[player_tooltip player_id='2711614' first='Gavin' last='Giesse'] 107 to 95: Gavin who's likely the most unknown of this list took the leap to compete in the Hoop Summit in August where we were able to see him in person yet again and confirm our initial evalution. Giesse has impressive size with skill and athleticism that can be developed to put him on a path to be a high priority D3 recruit.

Commitments

[player_tooltip player_id='2211906' first='Eli' last='Sancomb'] has recently committed to Liberty University which is just one of over twenty who's courted the senior point guard. While most were hanging on waiting on a power four offer Sancomb picked where he was the best fit and can make a huge impact. Liberty coming off a season that ended with an auto-bid to the NCAA tournament with a first-round loss looks to replace at a minimum three senior guards after this season which opens the door wide for Sancomb to be an impact player immediately.

[player_tooltip player_id='1851878' first='Noah' last='Lewis'] committed to Wright State before his senior year started where he'll also have a chance for an immediate impact. Wright State will lose at minimum a pair of senior forwards. Lewis is not only one of the state's best homegrown players in recent years but is a player that's worked very hard to expand his game while trying to lead his program to a state title.

Newbies

[player_tooltip player_id='1510473' first='Jeremiah' last='Hammond']: recently coming into the mountain state to join the Huntington Prep program and possibly be their best player. Highly touted recruit who has committed to Northern Colorado already.

[player_tooltip player_id='2434237' first='Collin' last='Lemley']: Lemley is one we had filed in the wrong class and since have corrected it and ranked accordingly. We had seen Collin a few years ago but had lost track with him being enrolled in one of the state's small Christian academies. He's since transferred to Trinity, grew to 6'7" and elevated his game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2918644' first='Marc' last='Brown II'] Brown showed up at the Hoop Summit and was all business. He was as good as advertised and proved himself to be a top 100 player. Looking forward to tracking him at Expressions Prep as he's already had an offer from Appalachian Bible College.

[player_tooltip player_id='2908205' first='Jakob' last='Potter'] We got to see lots of Jakob's play during the AAU season while on the Big Shots circuit and love his motor and energy. Potter has areas to expand his game but will likely be Poca's top dog this season which will allow him to grow as a player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2953421' first='Dallas' last='Johnson'] Dallas has flown under the radar but won't for long as Calvary is looking for production due to graduation. Look for Johnson to fill much of that role if not all of it.
