At the end of March we had 327 players to rank for the 2026 class and we are now at 355.

57 players are new and some have moved to different states, focused on different sports, and went into the 2027 or 2025 class.

Of the 57 new players, 21 fell in the top-50 and 29 in the top-100. The other 28 fell in the top 355.

This means that most of the players saw their stock drop at least 21 to maybe even 40 spots possibly in the rankings.

Once again the Prep schools are clearly taking over these rankings with 15 in the top-20. Players in traditional schools will definitely be compared to them and have to show they are just as good to be on the minds of the college coaches and scouts during the AIA season.

Our goal at PrepHoopsAZ is to try and recognize anyone who may play college basketball. We will keep searching for new players in preseason camps/events/leagues/Prep Hoops Circuit, Arizona EXPO, my personal Southwest Basketball Camp and during the AIA/CAA/OTE/EYBL/NSPA/Grind Session seasons.

1. 40+ players have earned a D1 offer showing this class is arguably the deepest talent pool in years including [player_tooltip player_id='2424468' first='Alexander' last='Ensor']

2. There are around 20 players who are currently nationally ranked led by [player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'] who is ranked #4 overall in the country.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='1612468' first='Cameron' last='Williams'], [player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'], [player_tooltip player_id='1482165' first='Rider' last='Portela'], [player_tooltip player_id='1323290' first='Mason' last='Magee'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1552394' first='Andre' last='Tyler'] are the only 5 in the Top-20 from the AIA showing how talented they are.

4. Rankings are based on a lot of things. Production, size for position, college coaches, the eye test, ability to score and defend, instincts, IQ, how a player moves, speed, ball handling, shooting, fundamentals. length and possible upside. It is not the easiest thing to do since not all players play in the same leagues for AAU and HS. They can be in the CAA, Grind Session, EIBC, OTE and the AIA obviously has different levels. Plus AAU teams may play on National Circuits (3SSB, UAA and EYBL) or play on independent or up and coming circuits (Pangos, NxtPro, EYCL, UAA Rise, Prep Hoops, WCE, New Balance, The Stage and so on). So you put all that information together and create the rankings.

5. Of the 355 players we have 77 PG's, 63 SG's, 55 CG's, 73 SF's, 78 PF's and 9 C's.
