Under the Radar: 2026 Kansas Recruits Pt. 4

As we round out our coverage, here are five final under-the-radar players to know from Kansas' 2026 class.    Rylan is a multi-sport athlete with a strong, athletic frame and a game that continues to grow. As an emerging wing, Crowell thrives when attacking the basket, using his physicality and balance to penetrate deep into defenses and draw help. He finishes well around the rim, particularly with his left hand, and has proven to be a consistent threat from the perimeter with solid range. Heading into his senior season, Crowell is poised to make a major impact on both ends of the floor.     Romari is another standout multi-sport athlete looking to build on a strong junior campaign. A physical forward with size and strength, Howard is highly effective around the rim on both ends of the floor. He finishes with power and explosiveness, consistently absorbing contact while maintaining balance. Defensively, he's versatile -- capable of guarding multiple positions and holding his ground against bigger matchups. Howard also protects the rim with timely shot-blocking and brings pressure on the perimeter, showing his ability to disrupt guards as well. Romari will be a name to watch as we enter the winter season.     Canaan burst onto the scene last season with a string of standout performances. An athletic and impactful guard, he consistently makes big plays on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he's a serious shooting threat, stretching defenses with his range and playing with great pace off the ball. He reads defenses well, knows how to relocate, and creates space. Canaan also has the ability to get downhill and finish above the rim. His sneaky athleticism is especially evident in transition, where he pushes the tempo and creates dynamic scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates.     Malachi is an aggressive and intelligent floor general who excels with the ball in his hands. He reads defenses well and chooses his spots to attack, showing a strong understanding of angles and spacing. Around the rim, he finishes with a mix of body control and touch, making him a tough cover in the lane. Off the ball, Buckner is just as effective -- moving well through initial actions and creating space to get off his reliable perimeter shot. Defensively, he's a disruptor, jumping passing lanes and applying consistent ball pressure to generate extra possessions for his team.     Alex is a highly cerebral point guard with a strong feel for the game and natural leadership qualities. He consistently demonstrates a high basketball IQ, serving as a vocal presence and helping organize his team on both ends of the floor. Casares is efficient and confident in his shot selection, consistently knocking down mid-range and perimeter jumpers. His shooting ability often forces hard closeouts, which he takes advantage of by attacking off the dribble. He also excels as a passer, delivering timely interior feeds that lead to high-percentage looks for his teammates. Casares is comfortable operating in ball screen situations and within various continuity offenses, showing the ability to read defenses and make smart, decisive plays.
