His teammates were great at finding ways to get him open shots. Whether it was setting screens or scoring within a motion type of offense, Coltyn was a serious threat to knock down shots. He's a great rebounder who battled opposing players for boards on both ends of the court. Whenever Indy Hoops 10th had opportunities to score transition points, Coltyn made it a point to finish strong at the rim. He is a great shooter who will always be a viable threat from the three-point line. I expect him to have an excellent Sophomore season this school year. Coltyn finished the game with four three-pointers.

Henry was a dominant presence on the floor Saturday afternoon. He easily scored in the paint by using a variety of post moves around the basket. Henry made tough shots despite being contacted by opposing players. This led to many trips to the foul-throw line. Henry calmly stepped to the line and converted most of his free-throws. I was surprised to see how great he was from mid-range. He knocked down numerous shots on the perimeter. When Indy Hoops 10th had chances to score in transition, Henry ran the floor and scored on strong drives at the rim. Defensively, he was great at blocking shots and protecting the paint. Whenever opposing players attacked the lane, Henry was in place to alter their shots.

Nixon is a great power and finesses player. He dominated smaller defenders in the post, rebounded at a high level and defended the paint. Nixon showed the ability to make shots from both mid or long range. He knocked down multiple three-pointers during the duration of the game. Many of his low post scores came off "hustle plays" around the basket. Whenever Indy Hoops 10th had opportunities to score transition baskets, Nixon ran the floor and finished strong. He is a great interior post defender who is capable of doing the same on the perimeter. Opposing players had a difficult time scoring when he defended the paint or guarded on the wing. With continued growth, Nixon will become a major threat to opposing coaches and defenses.

Nathan is a player who has the length to be effective on offense and defense. Offensively, Nathan attacked every opponent who attempted to guard him on the wing. Sometimes he drove the ball into the paint, other times he dished off passes to his teammates. He showed the ability to score from mid-range. In some instances, he used the dribble to free himself for easy looks at the basket. As I said, this young man extends himself on both sides of the ball. Defensively, is where Nathan truly excelled. He forced three steals with his quick hands and length. Whenever the ball was lazily thrown, he jumped pass lanes and initiated fast-break opportunities for his team. He finished with multiple steals and a couple of blocks. Nathan is a great all-around player who will be a problem for opposing coaches in the future.

Marshall is the ultimate team player! He does all the intangibles on the basketball court. Whether it's rebounding, assisting, scoring or defending, Marshall showed a knack for making plays. If the team needed a rebound or defensive play, he made it. Most of his baskets came off hustle plays like scoring put-backs around the basket. His aggressive style of defense forced numerous turnovers of the opposition. In some instances, Marshall showed off his passing ability. He made a number of plays by finding teammates cutting down the lane. This led to easy baskets for other players. As I said, this young man is a great team player who excels at doing what it takes to win games. Coaches love players of Marshall's caliber.

Ostin showed the capability of being an excellent small forward at the high school level. He's a hardworking player who does all the “hustle work” for Bandits Black 9th. Ostin showed the ability to knock down mid-range shots and free-throws. He used his size to take advantage of smaller defenders in the post. Most of his baskets came from grabbing offensive rebounds and cleaning up teammates' misses. Ostin was great at running the floor and finishing at the basket whenever the opportunity was available. He's tenacious on the boards and defends at an elite status. Ostin was everywhere on the floor defensively. He blocked shots, forced turnovers and used his physicality to defend the paint. Ostin is a great young player with a bright future.
