PrepHoops Ohio Sophomore Showcase – Team 2

He has great size and has grown going into his sophomore season. He looks physically bigger, and this opens his game up to being more effective as a driver in the lane. He has turned into a true three-level scorer due to his growth. He is a nice athlete, too. He is a player who can score on any level from any angle and any way he wants to. He can shoot the ball off the dribble well and loves the step move to create last-second space. He elevates high on his jumper, which makes it hard to contest. He has a great touch around the rim and finished in traffic well. He has a good size and great length. He has effortless athleticism. He can explode vertically and rise above the crowd, and finish over anyone. He did this multiple times in this event. He is a nice IQ player. He is a shorter guard, but this works out well for him. He uses his quickness to split through the defense and has great court vision. He always kept his head up and was able to see the entire floor. I liked his willingness and ability to pass the ball ahead. He could get a bucket when he needed to as well. He is as solid a guard as they come. He does not make mistakes on the court and is a very impactful player. He knew when to just pass the ball to others and let them do their own thing, and attacked his opportunities to score when they presented themselves. He was efficient when he put his head down and wanted to score. He is a shorter point guard, but this does not stop him from scoring and having a big impact. He has a good handle on the ball and can get to where he needs to on the floor. He did a great job of getting to the paint and making decisions. He either scored or found the open teammate.
