New Jersey Legacy Team Camp: Session II Additional Standouts

For the fourth straight summer, New Jersey Legacy Basketball hosted its annual three-day team camp, uniting some of North Jersey's top talent. Taking place at Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ, the event showcased intense competition among various programs, emphasizing both team chemistry and individual excellence. The camp also provided a key opportunity to evaluate players adjusting to new teams after offseason transfers, as well as those preparing to take on larger roles this coming winter. Here's a look at some additional of the standout performers from day one of the second session at the New Jersey Legacy Team Camp.    Demonstrating his ability to be a versatile wing, [player_tooltip player_id='1595675' first='Julius' last='Avent'] showcased his ability to impact the game both as a scorer and a playmaker while also being a force on the glass. As a scorer, Avent displayed his ability to be an aggressive downhill attacker, finishing with strength at the basket while also knocking down outside shots from three point range. Avent also showcased his ability to be a good decision maker and distribute the basketball to open teammates when he saw additional defenders on half court dribble drives and in transition. Possessing the big and strong frame that he does, Avent was also extremely active on the offensive and defensive glass.     Comfortable at getting to his spots, [player_tooltip player_id='2504745' first='Chase' last='Bray'] impressed with shot making ability off the dribble, particularly in the mid range area. Bray also impressed with his ability to knock down shots off the catch from three point range. Operating as an additional ball handler for Roselle Catholic's offense, Bray also showed that he can make plays for others and facilitate the basketball enough to keep the defense honest.     [player_tooltip player_id='2884521' first='Bryce' last='Mccray'] demonstrated his ability to be a dangerous threat from three point range for Seton Hall Prep. Showcasing his versatility as a shooter, Mccray proved he can knock down shots from the perimeter both off the catch and off the bounce. Mccray also provided secondary ball handling and facilitation from the point guard position with the plays he was able to make for others both in half court sets and in transition.     Possessing an improving offensive skillset, [player_tooltip player_id='2201948' first='Asante' last='Jones'] demonstrated his ability to not only attacking on dribble drives with his face up game but also hit outside shots from three point range. Jones also rebounded the basketball at a highly effective rate on both the offensive and defensive glass while also being a factor contesting shot attempts at the rim with his length and athleticism.     Thriving at the two guard spot for Linden, [player_tooltip player_id='1595682' first='Jayden' last='Holman'] excelled as a shot maker from three point distance off the catch and in the mid range area off pull up jumpers. Holman also showcased his ability to shoulder some of the ball handling responsibilities for Linden's offense and initiate offense at times.     Displaying excellent court vision paired with blazing quickness with the ball in his hands, [player_tooltip player_id='2763616' first='Abdullah' last='Parramore'] shined as a habitual paint toucher that continuously made plays for both himself and his teammates every time he got in the painted area— showcasing different types of finishes at the rim in traffic, hitting dump offs, and even kicking out to open shooters. Parramore was also an absolute peak defensively, being super disruptive against opposing ball handlers.     Fluid and efficient from the field, [player_tooltip player_id='1729825' first='Trey' last='Lewis'] demonstrated his ability to knock outside down shots coming off different screens and pin downs in the flow of Roselle Catholic's offense. Lewis also show flashes of his ability to attack off the bounce in getting to the rim and finishing strong at the basket.     Providing a sound source of offense from the guard position for Bergen Catholic, [player_tooltip player_id='2342638' first='Jaden' last='Brown'] excelled both as a scorer and playmaker. Poised with the ball in his hands and efficient off the bounce, Brown demonstrated his ability to score from different areas on the court. When attracting help defense, Brown also impressed with his ability to make the right read and find open teammates.     [player_tooltip player_id='1595685' first='Jekhi' last='Burnam'] excelled in his ability to be effective knocking outside down shots from three point range alongside his ability to finish well around the basket. Burnam showcased his ability to be an effective 3 & D wing that can not only shoot it from three point range and finish at the rim but also be a versatile defender that can guard multiple positions on the defe     Possessing a stronger and bigger frame, [player_tooltip player_id='2218637' first='Kieran' last='Quinn'] shined in his ability to play with toughness in the paint battling through physicality and contact. Quinn was a force on the inside catching dump offs out the dunker spot while also fighting on the offensive and defensive glass. Quinn drew plenty of contact and generating ample trips to the free throw line.
