There was plenty of talent in the Terrier gym and we'll break down some of the prospects that stood out, both locally and from out-of-region, in a two-part recap.

Below are the first five of ten prospects that we took note of last weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2568389' first='Sam' last='Murray']

A 6'2" guard out of The Governor's Academy, Murray impressed with his athletic burst and defensive intensity. The 2027 prospect made some nice plays in the open floor, utilizing his quickness and length to his advantage as a finisher around the rim. He got downhill off the bounce and, when he wasn't finishing in the paint, did a good job of finding open shooters off his drives. Defensively, he did a nice job of competing at the point of attack and forcing turnovers in passing lanes. He's skilled, has good positional size, and when you combined that with his athleticism, you have a nice prospect to track going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2470859' first='Sonny' last='Batchelor']

A 6'5" wing out of the Westminster School, Batchelor stood out with his high motor and two-way effort on the glass. The 2027 prospect asserted himself physically at this event, proving to be a strong rebounder in traffic and someone that was willing to finish through contact in the paint. He did a nice job of getting out and playing in transition, where his athleticism popped as an open floor finisher. Defensively, he can guard a variety of positions and show a nice combination of lateral mobility and strength on that end of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2546943' first='James' last='Caldarella']

A 6'3" guard out of Cheshire Academy, Caldarella made his mark with his decision making and ability to hit shots from behind the arc. The 2026 prospect did a nice job of letting the game come to him, something that's often difficult for prospects to do in these settings. He showed the ability to process quickly, making good reads out of ball screens and keeping the ball moving within the flow of the offense. When his opportunity came, he showed some craftiness off the bounce and the ability to knock down catch and shoot threes. He has good size at the guard spot and is a prospect that could really see his recruitment take off this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2510362' first='Quintin' last='Eason']

A 6'6" forward out of the St. Paul's School, Eason impacted the game sessions with his athleticism, interior scoring, and motor. The 2028 prospect was physically impressive, not backing down from anyone and using his athleticism to his advantage when finishing around the rim. He had a couple of nice finishes through contact, showed the ability to play as a face up forward or with his back to the basket, and had the motor turned up all day long. His effort level, willingness to make an impact on the glass, and ability to impact the game in transition all stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='2711392' first='James' last='Wilson']

A 6'2" guard out of South Kingstown, Wilson showed the ability to run an offense, score at multiple levels, and defend on the perimeter. The 2027 prospect did a nice job of picking his spots as a scorer and distributor. A big time scorer out of Rhode Island, he's settled into a role balancing that ability with his decision making, showing the willingness to operate as a facilitator that makes things easier for his teammates. He's got some wiggle off the bounce, can get into the paint at any time, and does a nice job of scoring over size and spraying it out to shooters.
