On July 5th I attended the Attitude of Gratitude Summer Tip-Off located at the phhacility in Phx.

I watched over 10 teams play from 10:00am-6:00pm with 17 and 16U teams.

Here were some of the 2027 Standouts Part-1

[player_tooltip player_id='2407206' first='Cameron' last='Hurt'] Pinnacle (Peak 17 UAA Rise) (Pictured)

A scoring point guard will fill it up with threes off the catch, mid-range jumpers after he creates separation for himself and is quick in the passing lanes. He truly controls the tempo and he made a few needle threaders on the day up the court and in the half court set and makes every read. He was playing up this weekend and did in the July live period. He had 19 points with 5+ assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='2475408' first='Kyree' last='Harder'] Catalina Foothills (O3 Elite 17U)

The junior guard looks to have a breakout season in Tucson. He scores thru contact and will create his own offense with mid-range pull-ups off the dribble and hit the three off the catch. He is a good passer as a true combo guard. His mid is his best weapon of choice.

[player_tooltip player_id='2430652' first='Kendyn' last='Grant'] Dream City Christian (Peak National 16 UAA Rise)

A quick and fast pure point guard who can score. He will fill it up with mid-range pull-ups off the dribble and hit the catch three. He is super fast in transition with the ball in his hands and he can make plays for his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2407207' first='Malachi' last='Mims'] Pinnacle (Peak National 16 UAA Rise)

A two-way guard who can make plays for his teammates and score. He will defend either guard position with his quick feet and hands. He scores with catch threes and tough takes to the basket as he changes speeds well and will handle the bump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146268' first='Brock' last='Knee'] Arcadia (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A bigger scoring guard will score it easily. He will stop and pop a mid-range jumper and will catch and shoot from the three point line. He rebounds well in his area and he made some clutch free throws at the end of the game to ice it in their win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2396185' first='Zathan' last='Ruffin'] NVCA (AZ Select 16 UAA)

A versatile wing forward is a defensive type. He will score with dunks and make tough shots around the basket. He is a top notch rebounder in and out of his area as he attacks the ball. He is a phenomenal passer and outworks his opponents to get on the glass.
