<p>On Friday and Saturday I watched the semi finals and finals of the 3A bracket and the Copper Final. <strong>Palo Verde </strong>defeated <strong>Seton Catholic 52-49</strong>, <strong>Coolidge </strong>defeated <strong>Snowflake 62-48</strong> in the 3A final-4 and then <strong>Palo Verde</strong> defeated <strong>Coolidge 55-50</strong> and finally <strong>San Tan Charter</strong> defeated <strong>Valley Christian 53-43</strong> in the Copper Chip.</p>

<p>A defensive post player will gobble up rebounds and block or alter shots. He came up big in the Final-4 game with his scoring. He showed he can face-up from the elbow, score with hook shots, which seems to be his most comfortable move and he consistently gets on the glass for put backs. He finished with 13 points and 7 rebounds with 2 blocks in the Final-4 and 3 points and 6 rebounds in the Final.</p>

<p>An undersized power forward has a little bounce, toughness and skill. He scores it often with his back to the basket and will almost bully his way to score with a lot of contact. He uses his girth and soft hands to grab rebounds with his motor. He scored 10 points with 14 rebounds and 1 block in the final-4 and 21 points with 11 rebounds plus 6 steals.</p>

<p>An undersized power forward is very strong. Despite only being six-foot, he manages to control the glass with his longer arms and his grown man brute strength. He will score with put backs and tough layups in the lane. He scored 12 points 10 rebounds and 1 block in the final-4 and 3 points and 2 rebounds.</p>

<p>A long wing forward with a little size and some skill. He has a clean look from the three point line and can rattle them in. He can get a step on his defender to score or earn trips to the free throw line. He scored 14 points. </p>

<p>An undersized power forward plays with plus energy to rebound in and out of his area. He will score with quick layups in the middle of the zone before the defenders close out and he will lay his body on the line and take a charge. He scored 4 points with 4 rebounds and 1 assist. </p>

<p>The team's sixth man came off the bench and gave them a nice lift. He scores with layups in the lane and will make a quick move in heavy traffic with no fear. He has some strength to hold his position and will alter or block a shot. He scored 4 points with 4 rebounds 1 assist and 2 blocks. </p>

<p>A stronger wing forward can play and defend a few positions. He will score with threes off the catch and gets out in transition and score with contested layups. He has good passing skills and finished with 7 points 2 rebounds and 1 assist. </p>
