I was really impressed with Davis in a variety of ways. For starters, he's an extremely quick processor who doesn't let the ball stick to his hands. In the pick and roll, Davis could hit the roll or pop man for open shots. As a scorer, Davis made jumpers from across the perimeter with a confident pull-up jumper. I also liked how hard Davis played, creating some chaos and going hard after loose balls. A new name to learn for northeast Ohio fans, Davis will be at Spire this winter under new Head Coach Kevin Boyle.

I liked how Faulkner just seemed to find points at the rim on Thursday in a tight win over Indiana Game. Whether it was in transition, off cuts, BLOB plays or the ball just finding him, Faulkner was getting easy looks in the paint and converting them. Nice to see a player get rewarded with buckets by simply moving without the ball and being active, scoring doesn't have to be complicated for guards. Expect Faulkner to be a name regional scholarship programs familiarize themselves with over the next few months.

One of the more unique watches I've been able to see, Cobb isn't like many other players. With an interesting body type, Cobb wants to be physical with the guy guarding him and loves to post up and be physical at the point of attack on both ends of the court. An elite rebounder for his size, Cobb plays like he's 3-4 inches taller than he actually is. An elite passer, Cobb set up his teammates in positions to score and also just scored the ball himself when he needed to. One of the more accomplished high school players in the region, Cobb is already a state champion and class Mr Basketball.

The Storm 16 U squad had a back and forth battle with B Maze Elite and Willis stood out as a quick twitch guard who got to the paint off the dribble. With soft touch at the rim, Willis had a couple contested floaters and layups to score. Best in transition, Willis had a buzzer-beating layup to end the first quarter. I ended really impressed with Willis as a name regional scholarship programs should learn about when he's a 17 U prospect.

Ohio Champion had a nice win to open their weekend. I was impressed with Waters as one of the top shooters in the 2027 class in Ohio doing what he does best. A four point play helped give his team some cushion and Waters also took a charge to show his toughness and positional awareness. Look for Ohio Champion to try and make a run this weekend for the UA Rise championship.
