Started morning off with a hot hand. Lefty point guard is shifty off the bounce with a smooth handle. Able to create more space in the open floor or when getting pressured on the ball. Hit multiple running floaters with soft touch off the glass to convert over size. Led all scorers with 8 after 1st half in first game of day. Runs the floor efficiently with size. Plays alongside 2 other skilled hard working forwards and cohesively all 3 work well together. Caught him in team's first game of day Sunday and was rassling and dazzling against the zone. If there wasn't a hand up he was letting it fly for good reason. The lefty shooting guard looked confident and comfortable from mid range to beyond the arc. Thinks one step ahead of the game. Likes to get out and run off of primary fast break. Finds defensive openings making an extra pass when defense slides over to help. Eyes and head seem to be on a swivel consistently. Overall liked the way he got after it moving without the ball for purpose and intention. Continued to anticipate passes defensively from the sideline of the 1-2-2 zone. Helped out on traps with other longer forward and caused some havoc in the back court. Turned defensive into offensive flow and made smart IQ reads in the transition phase. Possessed solid awareness throughout varying facets. Reads it well coming off the glass and uses length to advantage. Toughness demeanor caught my attention rim running consistently. Filled the paint effectively with smart movements running zone offense. Went high post to shot corner quickly depending on where the ball was and reading zone accordingly. Good spacing away from ball on drives. Made a couple clean ups down low out of the zone O.
