Here are Sunday's top players from Prep Hoops The Tune Up: Illinois in Plainfield.

[player_tooltip player_id='2829613' first='Danny' last='Ruffin'] Indiana Game 2027

Ruffin is a physically imposing guard who made an impact right away scoring often from all three levels while bullying guys around the basket. As a shooter Danny connected on four three-pointers all within the flow of the game. As a guard he is a combination of ball handling and passing was also utilized. Playing some possessions at PG he passed the ball on drives and kick-outs. Danny finished the game with 26 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2892582' first='Bryce' last='Smith'] [program_tooltip program_id='2895401' first='DTM' last='Elite'] 2028

Bryce is an athletic wing who didn't get involved until the start of the second half. At 6'4 he moves and shoots like a guard. He scored 12 points in the blowout win over Pure Hoops. Smith hit a pair of threes and scored the rest off steals from his team's full-court press.

[player_tooltip player_id='2853757' first='Case' last='Cosme'] Pure Hoops 2028

Small shooting guard who lit up the nets early Sunday morning. At 5'2” he is like his older brother (Cale) a lights out shooter who has extended range on his shot. He made several from way beyond the arc. Cosme was the one guard DTM had to defend as soon as he came across the midcourt. He made 6 in total and finished with 20 points in the loss.

[player_tooltip player_id='2403028' first='Jeffrey' last='Cade'] Indiana Game 2027

Cade is a microwave shooting guard who lit it up in the second half of the game. He is slick with the handle and got to the cup a few times freezing defenders with his handle. Jeffrey was so hot he knocked down a couple of threes around the tail end of the game. I like his upside as a guard and can play point or off guard at different moments of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2383975' first='Lucas' last='Bowers'] Southern IL Raptors 2027

Bowers is a player who caught my attention early with his quick spin move in the post. He later had two big dunks to show his improved athleticism. At 6'5 he moved well and played with good energy. When he challenged a dunk attempt and blocked it out of bounds I was sold on his potential as a college prospect. Lucas played through the whistle even with his team down by double digits.

Colin O'Hara Indiana Game 2027

O'Hara is a mobile big man at 6'8. He showed lots of versatility on the court with his ability to make shots from mid-range and the three. He has an incredible soft touch on his shot and it's always on target. Colin is also athletic and runs the floor very well for his size. He caught a couple of passes as the trail guy and dunked them with two hands. He had a few blocks and rebounded several boards out of his area. Colin has some qualities that some D1s can use right now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2845558' first='Jack' last='Holston'] Southern IL Raptors 2027

Holston is a change of pace guard who has a quick first step that he relied on a few times scoring off simple layups. He played with energy and toughness on defense getting his nose dirty several times for steals. Jack also shot it well connecting on a trio of threes. His leadership and aggressive play kept his team in the game.

Quick Hitters

Jeremiah Cunningham Indiana Game 2027

Another good spot shooter. Made 5 threes all in the first half. He finished with 17 points.

[player_tooltip player_id='2821689' first='Kendall' last='Bosby'] [program_tooltip program_id='2075515' first='Hoops' last='4 Health'] 2026

Made 5 threes in a game and finished with 25 points. A wing player who shot it well in the spring also.

[player_tooltip player_id='2822666' first='Derrick' last='Moore'] [program_tooltip program_id='2895401' first='DTM' last='Elite'] 2028

Space eating big man at 6'5. Moves very well for his size and showed a soft touch around the rim. Can become a prospect in what's shaping out to be a big class.

The Mongolian Talent Academy brought a lot of energy to the gym this weekend. One other player that stood out was Tengis Batbayasgalan a 5'9 guard who is quick with the ball. He kept guys off balance with his drives to the rack. Tengis dropped 18 points in a win over Big 3.
