AAU is over with and a few school districts are already back in session for the 25-26 school year. Coming out of the summer, there have been a few Sophomores who have picked up their first D1 offers in the last 6 weeks or so. Here's a look at a few "under the radar" 2028s that have the potential to break out in a big way this season.

Stone is one of the most impactful transfers this offseason as his move from Green County to Taylor County shifts the power rankings a little in the 5th region. A heady guard who can attack off the bounce or knock down an open three, Cooper is capable of being a true two way play. Stone is strong and can hold up against bigger guards. He also has quick hands that allow him to get deflections. Look for a potentially big season for Cooper at Taylor County.

Elizabethtown is in the midst of a rebuild and Washington is a good piece to build around. After averaging over 8 points per game last season, Brandon is the leading returner for a Panthers squad that is pretty young this season. Fellow freshman [player_tooltip player_id='2534817' first='Kaylen' last='Abernathy'] should be able to help but the E-Town offense will revolve around Washington and his ability to not only be a scorer but also how effectively he can provide easy offense for teammates.

Maxwell is a bigger shooter whose best basketball is all ahead of him. With the ability to known down threes from deep range, Nolan is still working on becoming a more complete offensive player. That should come if he starts to add some bulk to his skinny frame. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2858401' first='Keegan' last='Wilson'] should be a top 10-15 player in the third region but if Maxwell can add some firepower, the Hornets should be in a good position to get back to the regional tournament this season.

Eubanks played a limited role last season but had a productive summer of AAU with the [program_tooltip program_id='2796904' first='Shelby' last='Stars']. Eubanks is a physical presence who excels as a rebounder and knows how to use his big body to create scoring opportunities with low post position. As a freshman, Noah was a rotation player for Bullitt Central but there is optimism for Eubanks to be a starter and make a big impact for the Cougars in his Sophomore season.
