He moves well without the ball, makes smart reads, and adds value as a ball handler. Defensively, he competes with energy and focus. He shows noticeable strength and skill. With continued physical development, Maxwell projects as a reliable two-way contributor and one of the region’s top breakout candidates.

Maxwell is a bigger shooter whose best basketball is all ahead of him. With the ability to known down threes from deep range, Nolan is still working on becoming a more complete offensive player. That should come if he starts to add some bulk to his skinny frame. Junior Keegan Wilson Keegan Wilson KY should be a top 10-15 player in the third region but if Maxwell can add some firepower, the Hornets should be in a good position to get back to the regional tournament this season.

Nolan knocked down shots from beyond the arc all weekend. He found himself tracing the arc, looking for gaps to fill and spot up. He hit timely shots in games to keep his team alive and help his primary ball handlers free up space to attack.
