June 20-22 I attended the annual Section-7 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and I attended the Cali Live tournament June 27-29 in at the Open Gym Premier Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch.CA.

Both events were live periods where college coaches sometimes were standing room only watching certain teams and players.

Here were some of the Stock Risers

[player_tooltip player_id='1768202' first='Marquice' last='Cole Jr'] Hamilton (Pictured)

A good sized combo guard is twitchy and explosive. There are not many in the state who attack the basket like him with his speed, bigger size and athleticism. He throws it down easily and has next level body control to contort his body to score in heavy traffic. He is also a tenacious on-ball defender and can make plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2297971' first='Hale' last='Hansen'] Brophy Prep

A tough wing forward outworks his opponents. He blocks shots off the glass and has an off the charts motor and he springs up to grab the ball at its highest point to rebound. He scores getting downhill with tough takes, threes, hook shots and tries to dunk on someone making a statement with an edge.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133646' first='Myles' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows

A real PG has the ball on a string for him and he changes speeds well. He has real pace to his game and he will get downhill with his left hand unusually well. He passes it well with up the court ropes, drive and kicks and is quick on the ball defensively. His shooting keeps improving and his first step is so quick to get to the basket.

[player_tooltip player_id='2387517' first='Jachin' last='Reynolds'] San Tan Charter

A long power forward can literally defend the 1-5 for his team. He moves super fluidly from end to end and uses his go-go gadget arms and quicker feet to defend. He scores with offensive rebound put backs and high flying dunks. He will also hit the occasional perimeter jumper.

[player_tooltip player_id='1697292' first='Rylan' last='Parsley'] Sandra Day O'Connor

One of the tallest guards/wings in the West can shoot it with the best of them. He actually hit 25 3's total at Cali Live/S7 in the highest brackets out of 67 attempts (37%). He will get the ball off his hands off the catch quickly. He will score it with fall aways, he can dribble drive mostly straight line downhill and dunk it easily way above the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2533651' first='Bentley' last='Elrod'] Saguaro

A bigger wing forward with skill will score it plus make a play. He is a smart passer who sees the court well. Offensively, he gets to his spots with a nice handle for position and can fall away, hit the three, cut off the ball and he is a plus rebounder. He can even dunk it on the break and seems to be their go-to scorer.
