June 20-22 I attended the annual Section-7 at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and I attended the Cali Live tournament June 27-29 in at the Open Gym Premier Sports Complex in Ladera Ranch.CA.

Both events were live periods where college coaches sometimes were standing room only watching certain teams and players.

Here were some of the 2026 G/F Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1552394' first='Andre' last='Tyler'] Higley (Pictured)

The Simeon/IL transfer is a nice talent who is active on the glass. He scores it a few ways with a hard jab step to create some space for him to get a clean look and he is best as a catch three point shooter. He will take it to the basket with spin moves and will finish off high level dunks.

[player_tooltip player_id='1482165' first='Rider' last='Portela'] Sunnyslope

A long and fluid guard who is a natural slasher who will dunk it easily. He will score with threes, athletic drives and glide in the air with next level body control. He can back his man down and score it. His stamina is off the charts too as he never seems to wear down and grabs rebounds out of his area consistently. His ability to defend and check many boxes makes him go.

[player_tooltip player_id='1445948' first='Brandon' last='Stapleton'] Chandler

A long combo guard/wing who can slash to the basket plus hit the three off the catch or pull. He puts a ton of pressure on the defense and seems to get to the free throw line often and has a good feel for making a play. He will also post up his defenders and go to work.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875722' first='Ethan' last='Ulrich'] Cactus Shadows

A scoring combo guard can make plays for his teammates but is best as a scorer. He is hyper athletic to play way above the rim and he had a few eye-popping ones in the live periods. He will also rattle in deep triples off the catch or pull. He can get to the basket with a burst but is best in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1676630' first='Kristo' last='Jackson'] San Tan Charter

A tough scoring guard is a two-way player. He loves to attack the basket with euro steps and he takes contact well with his physicality and thicker frame and will also post up his defender. He makes it hard to score on him with his quicker feet and hands plus will block shots and rebound.

[player_tooltip player_id='1490240' first='Colton' last='Watson'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A strong framed point forward type is a long strider to the basket and will hit the three in rhythm. He made some impressive bounce passes perfectly to his teammates and will push the ball on the break. He slashes to the basket better than most and will crossover his man and get to the basket to finish or dunk it. His mid-range pull-ups are quickly improving.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150822' first='Cameron' last='Holmes'] Millennium

A bigger wing forward can score it with offensive rebound put backs, deep threes, tough layups with his left hand and alley-oop dunks. He is a top tier facilitator for the wing position. He works well from the elbow with jab steps and mid-range pull-ups. He collects steals in bunches which lead to layups and often gets to the FT line.

[player_tooltip player_id='1893708' first='Prince' last='Cash'] Carl Hayden

A good sized wing forward will score it multiple ways with catch threes, quick rip thrus, offensive rebound put backs with a plus motor and gets on the glass. He will score thru the contact in the paint and runs the floor for transition buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1875718' first='Melvin' last='Stubbs Jr'] Sandra Day O'Connor

A long wing forward is a top line defender with his big wingspan. He collects steals which led to layups on the other end and defends multiple positions. He will score with off the catch threes and get out in transition for dunks/layups and can kiss it high off the glass over the shot blockers. He also made some live dribble passes with his unselfish nature.
