Team camp at the University of Oregon took place in late June, and many of the top teams in the state - especially from Central and Southern Oregon - came into Eugene to compete. We had the opportunity to drop by on the last day to take in some of the action. Here's a look at some of the top performers we got a chance to see (Part I).

[player_tooltip player_id='2124991' first='Gavin' last='Leunen'] (2027 Ridgeview) - You would have never guessed the game was at 8 am as Leunen put on a performance, arguably the best we ended up seeing all day. The rising junior piled up 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks, dominating the inside but also showing off great touch on his perimeter jumper and the ability to do some things off the bounce. Physically he's bigger and stronger and there's no question in our minds that the son of head coach and Ducks legend Maarty Leunen has a huge year ahead.

[player_tooltip player_id='2747502' first='Cole' last='Ricketts'] (2026 McNary) - With [player_tooltip player_id='2468461' first='Aydn' last='Dallum'] not present, Ricketts was the man inside for the Celtics in a win over Prairie. The 6-foot-3 rising senior was very active getting to the basket for finishes, and was able to complete some plays absorbing contact. He used his length and motor to make his mark on the defensive end as well, and finished with 14 points and 4 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126215' first='Liam' last='Rea'] (2028 North Medford) - One of the younger players who should have a breakout season in 2025-26 is Rea, who put up one of the bigger scoring outputs we saw on the day. The crafty lefty got to the rim for scores, but also exhibited nice pull-up and fadeaway jumpers in the mid-range for some buckets. He finished with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and a couple assists as the Black Tornado got past Sequim (WA).

[player_tooltip player_id='2335526' first='Julien' last='Grant'] (2026 Crater) and [player_tooltip player_id='2287516' first='Malachi' last='Barlow'] (2026 Crater) - In Grant and Barlow, Crater head coach Bryan Scott has a perimeter duo that could ranks amongst one of the top in all of 5A. Both Grant, a rising senior, and Barlow, a rising junior, possess multi-dimensional offensive skills with the ability to knock down open shots as well as create off the dribble and get to the hoop. Grant tallied 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists while Barlow posted 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in a win over North Salem.

[player_tooltip player_id='2132791' first='Keylon' last='Kittleson'] (2027 Portland Christian) - While he's already established himself as one of the top players at Portland Christian, there's no question Kittleson will have an even bigger role in 2025-26. The rising junior is bigger and stronger physically, and in a win against North Bend the 5-foot-11 guard showed he still has a deadly touch from the perimeter while also displaying an improved ability to get to the hoop and finish.

[player_tooltip player_id='1606557' first='Dache' last='Acelar'] (2026 Benson) - We only got a brief glimpse of Benson during their time at camp, but it was a good one - it was sudden death overtime, where after the Astros secured the tip they got the ball to Acelar, who subsequently went straight to the hoop for the game-winning hoop. It's fully what we would have expected from the rising senior who should be the team's leader this upcoming season. - We only got a brief glimpse of Benson during their time at camp, but it was a good one - it was sudden death overtime, where after the Astros secured the tip they got the ball to Acelar, who subsequently went straight to the hoop for the game-winning hoop.
