Lukas VanZee 6-8 2026 Boyne City (pictured) Not a completely new name, as I saw this player in the spring/summer with the host HB Elite. However I saw him struggle at times with the speed of the grassroots game. In a skill camp setting. He was able to show what makes him intriguing prospect. I mentioned the sped aspect. He showed plenty of lateral speed in drill stations. Bigs always develop later. He might have closed that gap in the last few months. He also showed improved hands with some difficult catches in scrimmages. You don't have to look hard to see his “biggest” attribute. VanZee has plenty of size. To be frank, I'm not sure the height listed is accurate. He looks like he might still be growing. He also has lengthy frame that helps him play even taller. Accordingly, walls up well defensively. If he continues to improve at Boyne City which has a new coach. This could be a late blooming post prospect.

Bok Molter 5-9 2026 Leland I have only seen this diminutive guard in one other setting. It was in this same camp last year. One year later, he has shown some improvement. For starters while he still isn't very tall. He appeared to be stronger and quicker. He was a good shooter last year, and that skill was still present. However he seemed to have a quicker release that allowed him to get his shot off with ease. He wasn't shy on penetration. Decent live dribble passer as well. Still has a ways to go, but has shown some improvement within the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2724009' first='Landon' last='Gahn'] 5-9 2027 Cheboygan Like Molter, a small guard who might have been one of the smaller players in the camp. Didn't play like it though. Excellent ball handler who pounded the ball into the court. Accordingly was impressive during the ball handling drill stations. Was aggressive on both ends of the court during scrimmages. Still has time to develop physically as he is only a 2027 prospect. Should form a nice duo at Cheboygan with fellow 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='2430549' first='Gavin' last='Smith'] for the next two years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2873437' first='Ethan' last='Johns'] 6-4 2028 Traverse City Christian I caught Johns at the Run N Slam in the spring. I've also caught his regular season team a few times. I don't have any notes on Johns from those games. After watching him this week. I'm pretty sure that will change in the future. Has a long and lanky frame that looks like it should easily add weight. Is a post at this point of his development. However he showed plenty of skills away from the basket during stations and scrimmages. Could go either way as he develops. Could be a post or a wing. Will get some exposure this year. As the Sabers could be one of the top Division IV teams in Northern Michigan.

[player_tooltip player_id='2845786' first='Jaden' last='Peters'] 6-2 2028 Grayling While the HB Elite program was technically the host team. Peters was the player technically playing a home game. Made the short drive and played well. The potential is readily apparent. I saw it last year with Grayling, but also thought he had a ways to go. After a spring and summer of running with a good REAL Select 15U squad, the improvement is showing. Was more assertive and aggressive on the offensive end. Has good size for a guard already. Especially for Northern Michigan. Should have ample opportunity to put up some numbers as the Vikings graduated a lot of production.
