Adam had his jumpshot ready to fire right from the start of the game during Broad Run's battle with Jackson Reed. Buried 3 triples in the first half by spotting up or shooting off the dribble. As a knockdown shooter, Adam did a good job of reading the defender on the pick-and-roll and shooting when they went under. He took advantage of this slight mistake all game and drilled 3-pointers time and time again. Adam was not afraid to put the ball on the floor, driving to the cup and attacking closeouts for pull-ups as well as spotting up. Played an impressive game, showing he's much more then just a shooter.

The prestigious football recruit had himself a dominating performance with St. Christopher's this Sunday on the hardwood. Darius was a force on both ends of the ball, getting to the basket all game long while defending and rebounding hard. He had a personal battle with the high-level Blue Ridge team. Scored the ball from the arc early which forced the defense to respect his shot and defend closer. Darius attacked this slight adjustment for the rest of the game, abusing the defense with quickness on the perimeter and his strength at the basket. Really liked how he operated from the post, always watching the help defenders as he backed down his defender. If the help came he made the right read for the open shot. With no help defense, Darius could score efficiently from the post or by shooting around the defense and getting a layup opportunity. Tough cover all game for Blue Ridge.

After this weekend in Richmond, it's clear that Lane is evolving his game very quickly. With the departure of grad JJ Massaquoi, Lane has stepped into his new role very confidently. He is beginning to create shots from himself with a handle on the ball that I have not seen before. Double-moves and pace-changing hesitations helped Mahan get his shot off against his opponents this weekend. As usual, he was effective all over the floor pulling in rebounds and rotating over to block shots at the basket. All-around dominating performance from the rising junior. Very excited to see his career continue to shape out.

Jazyere was a constant factor for SMCA during their dominant win over Cape Henry. Started the game off early with a nice pull-up jumpshot from the top of the key. From there on it was relentless pressure from Thompson and the Mustangs, with Jazyere leading the charge. His defense was tenacious, collecting countless deflections and steals in the backcourt and the halfcourt alike. Jazyere made great passes on time and on target past the defense consistently. Had a steal and dunk in transition that proved the type of advantage he held over his opponents on Sunday.

One of the top guards on my board following the performance Tabren put on Sunday afternoon. He was unstoppable scoring the basketball and made the game look easy as it continued on. Ran the point guard position well and also played off the ball effectively. Tabren stepped out and knocked down a multitude of three-pointers through the course of the game. Had a couple of nice pullup threes to add to his highlight-filled game. Tabren's shifty handle allowed him to get off almost any shot he wanted over the course of the game. Got to the line and the basket just as effectively as he shot the ball. Played both sides of the ball well, igniting fastbreaks all game thanks to his heady defense. Top-notch Sunday afternoon from Catholic's lead guard.

Maddox was a versatile scorer the entire game vs the tough Blue Ridge squad. He was able to get to the basket virtually at will with his handle and speed with the ball. Maddox displayed a solid in-between game with multiple floaters and jumpers inside the arc. Along with his timely scoring, Maddox made some great passes from the perimeter and the post. Always kept his head up with the ball and knew what to exploit offensively. Drew a lot of fouls and spent a lot of time at the line in the second half to help keep up with Blue Ridge.
