I attended the Brandeis and Tufts elite camps this weekend and did first and second teams for both. However, there were tons of good players, so I've decided to shout out some honorable mentions.

Below are some honorable mentions from both of the camps. These guys easily could've made the first or second teams but just missed the cut.

Griffin isn't the most physically imposing athlete on the court, but he's a fundamentally sound player who knows when and how to make the simple play. He doesn't have a clear weakness offensively; he can play with or without the ball and can score a bit from all three levels. Defensively, I was impressed with Griffin's instincts and hands. He came up with multiple steals and was active in the passing lanes at both of the camps. He'll probably be able to find a D3 fit, but some improvements to his burst would be impactful.

Teixeira has a unique and at some points odd-looking game, but he was fairly effective at Brandeis camp. The 6-foot-6 forward has very strong moves in the post and is able to get to his spots on the block via ball handling moves and quickness. He's also an extremely streaky mid range and three point shooter, despite his funky shot. He's a solid passer who could definitely do himself some justice by leaning into the pass a bit more instead of taking contested threes. He'll likely find a D3 fit.

Kasanga was one of the best athletes at Brandeis camp. The 6-foot-3 combo guard keeps his line very well on drives to the rim because of his strength and balance, and he can elevate and finish at the rim with contact. He also has a knack for making the right pass when defenders collapse on him. Most impressive was Kasanga's rebounding, especially for his size. He's active and tough on the boards and should be able to find a D3 fit as a result.

Bobola was the youngest player at Tufts camp — a rising sophomore — but he absolutely held his own. The 6-foot guard is a talented shooter and has really solid quickness on his first step and on drives to the rim. Also, despite his lack of size and strength, he's still able to figure out finishing angles around the rim and make it work. He also did an admirable job guarding bigger and stronger kids on the defensive end all day at Brandeis camp. He has so much time to get bigger and stronger, so I could totally see him playing D3 hoops.

Fitzpatrick is a heck of an athlete. He's 6-foot-5 and VERY strong, so he's quite difficult to stop once he gets a head of steam going to the hoop; players bounce off of him like it's nothing. He also has a nice looking outside shot that he can hit with solid consistency, though some better ball handling skills would certainly improve his ability to get it off. He'll find a D3 fit and will make his coach happy with his toughness and team-first mindset.
