Brandeis/Tufts elite camps: honorable mentions

He doesn't have a clear weakness offensively; he can play with or without the ball and can score a bit from all three levels. Defensively, I was impressed with Griffin's instincts and hands. He came up with multiple steals and was active in the passing lanes at both of the camps. The 6-foot-6 forward has very strong moves in the post and is able to get to his spots on the block via ball handling moves and quickness. He's also an extremely streaky mid range and three point shooter, despite his funky shot. He's a solid passer who could definitely do himself some justice by leaning into the pass a bit more instead of taking contested threes. The 6-foot-3 combo guard keeps his line very well on drives to the rim because of his strength and balance, and he can elevate and finish at the rim with contact. He also has a knack for making the right pass when defenders collapse on him. Most impressive was Kasanga's rebounding, especially for his size. The 6-foot guard is a talented shooter and has really solid quickness on his first step and on drives to the rim. Also, despite his lack of size and strength, he's still able to figure out finishing angles around the rim and make it work. He also did an admirable job guarding bigger and stronger kids on the defensive end all day at Brandeis camp. He's 6-foot-5 and VERY strong, so he's quite difficult to stop once he gets a head of steam going to the hoop; players bounce off of him like it's nothing. He also has a nice looking outside shot that he can hit with solid consistency, though some better ball handling skills would certainly improve his ability to get it off.
