Here's a review of the 2028 players while in Myrtle Beach Big Shots Live I & II. This is a talented and promising group who struggled at times but competed hard against every opponent and scratching out a couple wins over the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617683' first='Jaden' last='Fleming'] is an interesting player. He's quicker than fast and more athletic than one would think at first glance. For the most part, Fleming handled a barrage of constant ball pressure from opponents including double teams and traps at half court. His poise and awareness got him out of several jams and kept him free from trouble. Jaden showed nice strong moves to the bucket with fluid finishes adjusting for bigger defenders. Fleming also displayed a nice stroke from deep when left open. I'm confident Fleming will grow from these tough opponents and keep improving as he's done all year.

[player_tooltip player_id='2633416' first='Kolbin' last='Highley'] is probably the strongest defender in this group and he continues to prove that week in and out. Highley gets his hands on the basketball while on defense more than anyone else I've seen in 15U during Big Shots events. He's strong and anticipates well while being fundamental with his feet. Offensively Highley adds an outside threat and ball handling support while there's heavy ball pressure. Like most 15U players he's a work in progress but with a very strong foundation on the defensive end to be a rising prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869454' first='Mason' last='Parrish'] has started to become more comfortable in a scoring role, especially when there's breakdowns in the offense. Once Parrish becomes a stronger ballhandler he will have every tool available to become a skilled guard who shoots it well above average from deep and from any spot. Mason has posted several multi-triple games throughout AAU season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425399' first='Roe' last='Maston'] has quickly became more aggressive with his scoring while also more assertive on the defensive end. He's a young player who's body has grown so fast he's trying to keep up strength and skill to match. You can see flashes when watching of what he's gonna become, a lengthy wing player with a developing mid-range game. High ceiling for this young prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395976' first='Cam' last='Strode'] has sprouted from 6'1" in the first tournament in April to a current 6'4" when he showed up in Myrtle Beach. Strode is lacking a couple facets of his face up game that will develop him into a stretch four, but nonetheless his physicality and fearless play against bigger post players has made his play steady and efficient. Strode, like Maston, has a game that's trying to catch up to his lengthy body and recent growth spurt, but has had remarkable growth with his four months with the WV Reign.

[player_tooltip player_id='2395977' first='Noah' last='Hood'] popped in on the Reign roster to help out in the paint and that he did indeed. Hood's sturdy 6'5" frame and nose for the ball saw him battle and yank down some tough rebounds and get some meaningful put backs in crucial situations. Hood steadily improved throughout the weekend but ended it early with an ankle sprain Saturday afternoon. Nonetheless an impressive outing with teammates whom he had little chemistry with proving he not only has a favorable body for basketball but a high hoop IQ to match.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867479' first='Jayden' last='Rockwell'] is maybe the brightest story here. Rockwell who came to the Reign with no promises of big playing time has slowly and steadily improved and become a solid bench player who can come in and give quality minutes. It's very early in Jayden's basketball journey as he's in the developmental stages in many areas, but he's had a measurable improvement in his understanding of the game as well as skill development.

[player_tooltip player_id='2905418' first='Caleb' last='Crace'] has had a run of success back to Rock Hill where he got comfortable in his role and eventually scoring regularly. Crace wasn't able to score quite as easily in Myrtle as the defenses were more intense, however he continued to show his evolving skill set and encouraging fearlessness against opponents who weren't only bigger but older as well. Crace has a great foundation to develop into a multi-level scorer especially if he develops both hands.

[player_tooltip player_id='2905417' first='Aidan' last='Broschart'] came aboard for Myrtle Beach and really opened some eyes for a brand new and younger (2029) player. He showed quality ballhandling skills, a smooth shooting stroke and quickly understood the focus of the offense. Looking forward to tracking this youngster's progress.
