The Sophomore class is super loaded with talent and the early indications are that the group could be the best we have seen in a while. Here's a look at the top small forwards in our updated 2028 rankings. This does not include any players in the top ten as they have already been written about in the Top Ten article that came out last week.

Aaron had a strong freshman season at McCracken and has been impressive in AAU as well. Adams, like most in this class, needs to get stronger as his game continues to develop but he has some impressive physical tools and is confident as a shooter. A player who should continue to see his stock rise as his skills develop, Aaron is a good player to keep an eye on for his long term potential.

Prestyn is one of the most effective players in the class when it comes to lowering his head and getting to the rim. He's going to score a lot of points for Seneca before his career is over and could even transition to point guard before all is said and done. Wheatley is going to need to continue developing his guard skills and become a knockdown shooter as his game keeps growing.

As a long term stock, Joaquin is a player to buy stock in now and hold for the future. Siakam makes the occasional really impressive play and also can disappear for stretches. As he gets more consistent in his effort and his body continues developing, he's one of the higher ceiling prospects I've seen in this class off just a couple of viewings.

Noah has been out all spring and summer after hand surgery and I'll be interested to see how he looks when he's back on the court. Likely the best player for Anderson County last season, Beasley will have to do a lot of the heavy lifting for the Wildcats this season if they're going to be a factor in the 8th region this season.

Bray is a high potential wing who is effective as a driver and capable of making an impact on the defensive end in addition to his offensive skills. Long and lean, McNear can become a really effective player as he adds some bulk to his wiry frame. He's had a very strong AAU season and looks like he could be turning the corner as a prospect. Depending on how much he keeps growing and developing, Bray could be a big time prospect down the line.
